My understanding of the law is anybody may film/photograph/record anything as long as they are on public property (sidewalk, parking lot, street, etc) and there isn’t a damn thing they can do about it.

Thanks for posting... This is crazy. From what I saw, he was not even asserting his right to film from there... he simply pulled over and asked her what law said he can’t. There are a number of these citizen journalists there trying to get an answer on what law says they can’t. I think at the end he finally saw a Hawaii statute number on his ticket that was the answer that he stopped to get... after she over-reacted and 4 more cars showed up.
He is one of the best sources out there right now if any of you are interested... follow his youtube channel. He did a bunch of drone footage right after the fire, before they proclaimed it illegal to do so. He has done alot of survivor stories and set up a non-profit to help them out, sounds like they just hit their $808K goal and are starting over again. This was last nights video that was a little different than what he had been doing.

I’m not sure what microwave burns look like, but the burns may be close to Napalm burns. If you have eyes to see, you can see the unique ‘features’ of this massacre. Sort or like the ‘features’ surrounding the other humanity massacre, the Vax operation. I still believe there is something about the color blue because there are cars, umbrellas, T-shirts, and other items that survived. I don’t know enough about DEWs to know if they used lasers, microwaves, or both. The restricted are was determined by the Mayor’s Second Emergency Proclamation Relating to Wildfires in the Lahaina area.
So we also have Emergency Proclamations being issued by the Mayor of Lahaina. I believe that these are related to safety and to prevent looting, a pretty standard occurrence after any large scale disaster.
