If Section 3 of the 14th Amendment is used to remove Trump from the ballot in the 2024 election, it won’t stop there.
It will be used against everyone who supported “the insurrection” on January 6.
Imagine how broadly giving “aid and comfort” to Trump challenging the 2020 election can be interpreted.
This also demonstrates how strong opposition has become.
Even their election adjustment machine can’t help them anymore.
It would be a successful civil war fait accompli. A civil war America lost.
Freeper Williams recently made an excellent point, one that should be shouted far and wide: You can only be accused of insurrection after an insurrection has been lawfully declared.
To my knowledge, no one - not the president, not the Congress, not the Supreme Court - has officially declared an insurrection. So there is no insurrection, and no one can be charged for it.
Trespassing, yes. There are already trespassing laws on the books. Disorderly conduct, yes. There are already disorderly conduct laws on the books.
The Senate could today vote, and declare that January 6th was an insurrection. Well, okay. But the Constitution prohibits ex post facto laws. So any declaration could only apply to actions taken after that declaration.
Democrats and Anti-Trumpers take advantage of the stupidity of the average American.
If you oppose the government, you will not be allowed to run for office. No political opposition will be tolerated — no insurrectionists! One Party! One Nation! One Leader!
Don’t forget the MSM acting as cheerleaders….
exactly
to strengthen the democracy
THERE WAS NO INSURRECTION.
IT WAS AS THE DEMOCRATS SAY, A MOSTLY PEACEFUL PROTEST.
“engaged in insurrection or rebellion”
The Secret Service didn’t not allow Trump to attend the Capitol events.
Someone in New Mexico was booted out of office by a judge.
> it’s just that you and others want so much to believe that this isn’t happening and it is <
We all know what’s happening. I suppose I should throw in a sarcasm tag to make that clear. I didn’t think that was necessary. But maybe it is.
