It really is idiotic for DeSantis to speak ill of Trump voters. He needs them to win and he knows it.
It just makes me believe that he’s simply in this to derail Trump at all cost. He knows he can’t win.
His allegiance is to the GOP.

Rush used him as one of his sources, so he had confidence in his reporting. Now, should I place more importance on what Rush had confidence in or you?
Turns out "listless vessels" is a phrase DeSantis has used several times before, as has his wife, to slam people (Biden, for instance, and public high school students, among others) as directionless. I don't have the links handy but Jack Posobiec has been collecting the citations on X.
They are the spoiled brat, Trans Republicans wanting their golden bull party back.
Instead of bashing Trump, these folks should offer some real solutions that don’t involve surrendering to the democrats in the name of bipartisan.
It just makes sense to point out some things that Trump did, but explain how you might do it better.
There are a lot of people that like most of Trump’s pilicies, but not his personality. I’d be using an angle like that.
When people start to slam his base, it tells me they have already conceded to Trump, but will be happier to see Biden reelected than support Trump.
For someone who is pinging around in single digits, he broke all of the rules.

It’s worth noting how DeSantis has an immediate, elaborate response to every question. He’s not responding naturally to the questions. There’s no getting around it. DeSantis is inauthentic, from his rehearsed answers to his rehearsed, over the top body language and hand gestures.
Well I thought that he was a great person and governor but with comments like that I am not so sure any longer.
This is not what he actually said. it’s Magadonian propaganda.
Reminds me so much of Cruz’s 2016 campaign. A bunch of talk about taking the high road and staying out of the fray. Both candidates tried to ignore the front runner [Trump] and not go negative, but ultimately, when that strategy wasn’t effective enough, they both went increasingly negative.
