The funny thing is that I’m a Trump supporter do or die. That does not prevent me from looking into the other candidates and posting honestly about them. It is a darned shame that everything is seen through the eyes of politics. I love my Country, as I told one of my sons I love her like a family member, like a mother.

When people act against her I am furious, when she falters as she does now I am bereft. When I see a charismatic politician with questionable background, coming from nowhere like Obama, like Vivek I am deeply worried for her.

I could never believe that people whose livelihood depended on industries that Obama was targeting voted for him. I think that the disconnect was not made clear to them.

MAGA people & conservatives are in danger of being taken in by the very personable, articulate, Vivek, who knows how to sell, how to identify what people want to hear. Of course the things he says resonate. They were chosen to resonate. But.. if you are careful he makes missteps that reveal who he really is. Taiwan can be invaded by China once we don’t need her for semiconductors...

A more certain way of knowing who this man is would be to review his past actions and the morality displayed by his cynical, unscrupulous history in the biotech sphere.
Another choice is to just view the election as entertainment or a team sport and pick a team put on your hat and close your eyes & ears

As I see it. They are trying to pick them off one by one. THE only one who will be immune is Fatso Christie, he is the swamp’s pick.

Indeed, Fatso, who has not said what he'll do if elected and has presented no platform, is their obvious choice. Should Vivek be taken out, they will next go after Tim Scott.

“It’s going to play out the same way it did in 2020”

So you don’t think ‘funny stuff’ happened in the 2020 election? If that’s the case, why are you still on this site?

100% truth. Ramaswamy says all the right things but it’s all fake. He’s Paul Ryan 2.0 but even worse since he isn’t just a tool of the anti-Christian oligarchs, he is one himself!

It’s sad to see people fall for the same song and dance so many times.

When did I say that?

It doesn’t really matter if “funny stuff” happened or not. The results are the same. Biden is president.

Why are you still on this site? If “funny stuff” happened in 2020 it’s going to happen again.

I appreciate you not having an ax to grind. It seems that we see and hear so much negativity about these presidential candidates, with relatively little about why they might be good candidates for office.

In my opinion, every candidate, including Trump, has pluses and minuses to their candidacies. But the impression I get, is that there is a major focus on everyone’s negatives. I get the impression that there is something wrong with every GOP candidate, and that there is something wrong with every GOP elected official in America.

I wish we could have more discussions where we compare and contrast the candidates, but there is more focus on people’s negatives than their positives. After all, someone is going to be the GOP presidential nominee, probably Trump. And Trump is going to pick someone as his running mate. Odds are some Freepers will detest who Trump picks as his running mate. I wish we could all be more positive about things.

It does matter because if you don’t believe it, then it will happen again, whether MAGA or not.

To put it another way, Trump’s loss in 2020 was NOT due to MAGA, or Hillary would have creamed him in 2016, as he was also MAGA then.

...imagine if I told that the current market cap of ROIV (Roivant Sciences) is over $8 billion.

Sounds like Viking got a great deal.

It was revealed a long time ago... look at the dates. I liked him at first but he is a scammer....

Vivek Ramaswamy may not know anything about biotech and even less about treating Alzheimer’s, but he just provided a master class on the current state of public investing and executing IPOs in the field.

The bare bones of Ramaswamy’s new biotech venture, Axovant ($AXON), are much discussed these days...

I understand. Politics is a dirty game and the people who want to clean up Dodge are vastly outnumbered by the people who want to find a way into to feed at the trough.
I am frankly underwhelmed by our choices other than Trump who is on a patriotic mission. He is flawed as are we all but what you see is what you get.

I think it may be important to look carefully for negatives because we are stuck for the next 4 years with whom we elect (assuming we are allowed to have an honest election). Evil often wears a pretty face so I do look carefully for false notes.

I am hoping that the strong support for Trump will allow him to pick his own VP, not to be saddled with an acceptable to the RNC choice like Pence. There are many able, honorable, conscientious men & women that Trump undoubtably knows & could pick for VP & cabinet if he has a free hand.

I’ve got no problem with Trump being president. In fact I loved his term. But his character assassinations do not win any voters outside of MAGA. That is the reason Biden will win again. They may not even need to cheat this time. (although prosecuting him is cheating)

I think we're in a lot of trouble. I voted for Trump in 2016 because he promised a border wall. I voted for him again in 2020 because I understood that Paul Ryan's sabotage was what kept the border wall from being built, and because Trump was a great president - probably the most effective of my lifetime.

I will vote for Trump again in 2024 if he wins the nomination, but I don't see any evidence that he is building up a ballot-harvesting organization and system of his own in states which have legalized ballot-harvesting. That will be absolutely essential if he is to have any chance in the 2024 general election. Instead, Trump seems totally fixated on the 2020 general election and ripping any Republican who distracts him from his fixation on the 2020 election by running against him. He barely mentions Biden, Kamala Harris or the 2024 election. And while I despise how the Democrats have weaponized the DOJ and the state district attorneys against Trump, I understand that it's working. A lot of independents are already indicating via polls that they will not consider voting for Trump because of the indictments. And if he somehow is elected, I have serious doubts about how he can govern effectively while defending himself in four criminal cases.

Like I said, if Trump is nominated, he has my vote in 2024, and I will do everything I can to help persuade others to vote for him as well. That said, I'm very sick of anyone - Democrats or Trump backers - going after conservative Republican alternatives to Trump. Whether Trump wins or loses in 2024, he will not be running in 2028. The alternatives will be.

ROIV is a holding company for late-stage biotech startups.

It’s business is buying and selling small biotech companies and helping them exit (get sold or IPO).

After going public via a SPAC it is worth over $8 billion now. Gaining $1 billion since the SPAC. So I imagine Viking Global thinks it got its money worth.

Darntons (IMO a dubious source by all measure) seemed to forget to mention the sale to Viking Global was good for Viking Global. Also, Darntons focuses on the first spin-out drug company, he forgot to mention that since then ROIV has spun out 20 companies and some 40 drugs.

Whatever one’s opinions is of Vivek, the linked article source should not be used to inform that opinion.
