Why can’t all phone/computer systems have a similar emergency alert system designed for not only missing children but for other safety hazards as they have in tornado zones/alerts?

Good idea - it would be fairly easy to set up. With a natural disaster having both alarm and notification would work best - the alarm wakes you up and let's you know to look at your phone or TV for details. We have Amber alerts where I live too.

We have such early warning systems here in southern Oregon.. millions of dollars spent on all the bells and whistles..
It does no good if not used. The overpriced politically correct BITCH in charge decided 3500 old people in manufactured home parks would get “confused.” They had 6 hours to warn us that EVERYTHING a few miles away was being incinerated.
The first we knew of the Alameda fire were flames coming down our culdesac.

I was able to get one neighbor to leave early. Everyone else just laughed and said if there was a problem, the news would say so.
Like hell!

No lawyer around here will touch a case against the county.
