Illinois seems to be losing the bulk of their conservatives to more conservative friendly states.

Well, when you capitulate to the opposition, you begin to be more & more like them. Thus, there isn’t a iota of difference between the parties. She’s a RINO on steroids, that transform them into Democrat assistants.
I personally have known Tony for years. She is a conservative, I seriously doubt she would vote for letting non-citizens become law enforcement officers. In Illinos there are a lot of Rinos, Tony is not one of them.

Most all House Republicans stood firm during their chamber’s motion to concur with the new Senate amendment, including House Republican Leader Tony McCombie. Not one member of McCombie’s leadership team voted against the motion, which passed 100-7. However, seven of the eight members of the House’s self-declared Freedom Caucus voted against it, including Rep. Miller. The eighth member, Rep. David Friess, R-Red Bud, had an excused absence.
I don’t know anything about this woman, but I might assume she supports non-citizens becoming cops because no Americans want to be cops in Illinois these days.
Immigration Lawyer from Washington DC: The military is a completely different animal, not even the same, and it’s no okay to try to say they are the same or even similar. The police officer is on duty for a shift and is done until the next shift. Military personnel is technically on duty 24/7 and required to be on call at all times because that is part of the enlistment which is a contract saying you belong to the US Army, Navy, etc. for X amount of years at a time.
Finally, every Police officer in the US is required to take an oath. To uphold our laws, swear their allegiance to the state in which they work and the Constitution of the United States. If they are not a citizen first, they can’t even demonstrate that any allegiance to our nation of her laws.

Ok, now I can rest because I have heard it all. The “so called” leader in the Republican party is no leader at all. House Leader Tony McCombie is instrumental of total misinformation. People better wake up! I am very tired of hearing the opinions of these elected officials instead of what is lawful and Constitutional.
With the law makers now making $80,000 for a Part Time job, you think they would at least take time to check with Lawyers or other immigration experts as to what will hold up in a court of law! But instead Leader McCombie would rather vote what she thinks, other than what would support our Constitution. She should hang her head in shame. I am outraged. I did my due diligence and checked with immigration lawyers in Washington D.C. They actually do this for a living, are you listening Tony McCombie? Stop spreading propaganda!
Here are Lawyer Points: DACA recipients are not on a pathway to citizenship. Their deportation has merely been deferred and DACA can be revoked at anytime making them deportable.
A law enforcement officer generally has to take an oath to uphold our constitution and our laws. If the individual is an “illegal alien”- DACA, he/she cannot take that oath.
There is no way to definitively determine who that individual is because they were not vetted or admitted into the country. Standards should not be changed because more police are needed …would you allow nurses to practice medicine because there is a shortage of doctors?
