Former President Donald Trump's promised press conference to refute the allegations in the indictment handed up by the Fulton County District Attorney's Office is now very much in doubt, multiple sources familiar with the matter tell ABC News.
Sources tell ABC News that Trump's legal advisers have told him that holding such a press conference with dubious claims of voter fraud will only complicate his legal problems and some of his attorneys have advised him to cancel it. Trump announced the planned press conference with a social media post shortly after he and 18 co-defendants were indicted late Monday in Georgia. He said he would present, "A Large, Complex, Detailed but Irrefutable REPORT on the Presidential Election Fraud which took place in Georgia."
Georgia's Republican governor responded to that with his own social media post declaring, "The 2020 election in Georgia was not stolen. For nearly three years now, anyone with evidence of fraud has failed to come forward -- under oath -- and prove anything in a court of law.”
Campaigning in Iowa, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis said he agreed with Kemp. And so did former Vice President Mike Pence, who said on Wednesday, "The Georgia election was not stolen."

That would be preaching to the choir
actually in traditional journalism, using ‘dubious’ would have been red-penned as biased (and unproven_ and any other ‘loaded’ adjectives also rejected. but true journalism is only alive in a few places these days. propaganda rules
Considering the charges that he “didn’t really believe he won and KNEW there was no fraud” as the basis for being, somehow, responsible for J6 and attempting to “overturn an election” it’d be odd for the State to be able to prove that if PDJT is still publicly showing how much he believes it was stolen.
I’d argue it gets the fact out there, fresh in potential juror minds, that he still very much believes he won.
And Trump wouldn’t? Carlson can get the report out there.
I agree but if he has any chance you shouldn’t give away your defense strategy beforehand
I love the guy...but just stop...
He should be his own man and proceed with his event next week.
Nah. Deep state media assumes it’s another Lindell type event.
“Trump has a nasty habit of hiring fame seekers”
Like seeks like.
They know better.
If this is information he relied on to take the actions that got him in this situation, it’s best saved for trial. At this point it would be problematic to release. Being TRUMP isn’t going to do anything for him at this point. He needs to listen to his legal team. It’s best for him to ignore the cases and prosecutors when he speaks out and focus on a vision for America and the failures of the Biden regime. Maybe the best thing that could happen to him is a gag order.
Trump has been famous since I was a teenager, and I’m 63 now.
That’s true as well.
Just admit your crime of using free speech to question the official narrative and promise not to run for President and they may show mercy.
Welcome back, my friends to the show that never ends. We’re so glad you could attend. Come inside! Come inside...
Cancellation will not be because of the lawyers (although lawyers obviously would counsel against the sideshow) but that will be the excuse. The PT Barnum, the Oz man behind the curtain, the Kraken, the pillow guy, the lack of real proof, the shameful nature of the stunt, the Hail Mary desperation, the lack of evidence/rhetoric that hasn’t already been expressed in ad infiditum would be better reasons...Have at it, Always Trumpers.
A guest on a talkshow said an indictment against Trump will be coming from Arizona as well.
“The warrant is well within the scope of legality”
Nonsense. Clear 4th Amendment violation:
““The requirement that warrants shall particularly describe the things to be seized makes general searches under them impossible...”
https://www.law.cornell.edu/constitution-conan/amendment-4/particularity-requirement
Sweeping up the entirety of someone’s Twitter activity is a general search, therefore, either the warrant was invalid, or the search did not comply with the warrant. There are no other possibilities.
“that is for a court to decide”
Maybe if we still have functioning courts.
