Former President Donald Trump's promised press conference to refute the allegations in the indictment handed up by the Fulton County District Attorney's Office is now very much in doubt, multiple sources familiar with the matter tell ABC News.
Sources tell ABC News that Trump's legal advisers have told him that holding such a press conference with dubious claims of voter fraud will only complicate his legal problems and some of his attorneys have advised him to cancel it. Trump announced the planned press conference with a social media post shortly after he and 18 co-defendants were indicted late Monday in Georgia. He said he would present, "A Large, Complex, Detailed but Irrefutable REPORT on the Presidential Election Fraud which took place in Georgia."
Georgia's Republican governor responded to that with his own social media post declaring, "The 2020 election in Georgia was not stolen. For nearly three years now, anyone with evidence of fraud has failed to come forward -- under oath -- and prove anything in a court of law.”
Campaigning in Iowa, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis said he agreed with Kemp. And so did former Vice President Mike Pence, who said on Wednesday, "The Georgia election was not stolen."

“dubious claims of voter fraud” - and the HOAX goes on as ABC continues its bias, rather than digging into the story and finding Truth. such is life these days. stand firm, America.
For nearly three years now, anyone with evidence of fraud has failed to come forward — under oath — and prove anything in a court of law.”
A turn of phrase and slight of hand...
deaf dumb and blind and...corrupted?????
“ DeSantis, Kemp, Pence...spineless liars, each and every one.”
They may very well be exactly that. But there is another thing that they are...members in good standing in the American political class. They get a ticket into the club and a nice steady income stream for keeping the government a closed. elitist…and fascist system.
C’mon now.
He doesn’t boil puppies.
Cats maybe but, no puppies...

Especially since every single court has turned back election challenges on the grounds of standing.
Trump hung this claim of astounding exculpatory info over everyone’s heads as a Sword Of Damocles.
Now he might be talked out of revealing the info just yet... but the sword still hangs there...
It’s a good play IMO
Legally, Trump should shut up and do his talking in court. But he won’t.
What was needed was a re-canvass and true, independent audit.
A Risk Limiting Audit is just a sampling of a few ballots across different precincts and compare against the machine tally. Also, I have yet to see a report on who oversaw this sampling, and was it random? Was it independent? Was it sampled from areas that didn’t see as much discrepancy than others?
Also, it is important to note that in several counties the recount did not match the machine totals, but officials were told to “go with the state official results”. The ones that did push back had their election officials reprimanded and/or fired.
as i read that it’s an audit of the counting - not the validity of the ballots (signature verification etc).
“Campaigning in Iowa, Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis said he agreed with Kemp. And so did former Vice President Mike Pence...”
Well, the Traitors Three have spoken.
“Well, isn’t it a good idea, to listen to your lawyers, when in legal trouble?”
If that legal trouble is a political persecution, maybe not. You’re not going to win such a case unless you can also win the political fight that is accompanying it, no matter how good your lawyers’ advice is.
The first thing, the Government is not required to notify you they’ve gotten a warrant to gather information about someone under investigation, in fact they never do that.
The reason he needs to think about holding that press conference is don’t give away your defense strategy so the prosecution can respond to it at trial
Remember however unlikely it might be, only one person on the jury needs to be pursued
“present it at the trial”
Might be good advice, if it were going to be a fair trial.
“Why disclose it to the prosecution, before the trial begins?”
Umm, you generally can’t introduce any evidence at trial that you haven’t disclosed to the other side before the trial begins.
It may be a case of national interest trumping personal. If those five cities that appear to have decided the last general election, after weeks of counting mail-in ballots, did so by fraudulent means, it’s bigger than Trump’s legal issues.
“multiple sources... from a blog somewhere on the internets... familiar with the matter”
Trump should let his political allies do the briefing. What political allies?
“They did an audit”
Right, because we usually allow those accused of fraud to “audit” themselves. Seems legit.
What makes you think it’s true. “Sources say” is code for we made it up but need legal cover.
