In 2018 during his interview with Chris Wallace on FOX News President Trump accused Pakistan of not “doing a damn thing” to assist the US in the War on Terror despite the US sending billions in aid to the Islamic country.
In response the Pakistani Prime Minster Imran Khan lashed out at President Trump and the United States posting a series of tweets and setting the record straight. Pakistani officials denied supporting Afghan Taliban insurgents waging war against U.S.-backed troops in Afghanistan. Islamabad also rejected claims officials aided former al Qaeda leader bin Laden. This was despite Bin Laden living a short distance from a military compound for years in Abbottabad.
In May of this year Imran Khan was arrested outside the High Court in the capital, Islamabad. Paramilitary forces surrounded Khan after he entered court and he was arrested. Police report five police officers have been injured and 43 protesters arrested.
Khan, elected prime minister in 2018, lost his majority in parliament after clashes with the military. He lost a confidence vote in April 2022.
Mr Khan denies the allegations.
Imran Khan was jailed this week for three years and will be ineligible to run in the upcoming election.
On Wednesday The Intercept published diplomatic cables highlighting US pressure on Pakistan to remove President Imran Khan from office. The Biden regime did this because Khan did not support the war against Russia in Ukraine.
Via The Intercept:
THE U.S. STATE DEPARTMENT encouraged the Pakistani government in a March 7, 2022, meeting to remove Imran Khan as prime minister over his neutrality on the Russian invasion of Ukraine, according to a classified Pakistani government document obtained by The Intercept.
The meeting, between the Pakistani ambassador to the United States and two State Department officials, has been the subject of intense scrutiny, controversy, and speculation in Pakistan over the past year and a half, as supporters of Khan and his military and civilian opponents jockeyed for power. The political struggle escalated on August 5 when Khan was sentenced to three years in prison on corruption charges and taken into custody for the second time since his ouster. Khan’s defenders dismiss the charges as baseless. The sentence also blocks Khan, Pakistan’s most popular politician, from contesting elections expected in Pakistan later this year.

Well I guess it’s time to indict Trump again
I didn’t think Pakistan paid much attention to anything we asked them to do.
Yep, Georgia was on hold until just this time.
Will no one rid us of this nightmare?
People tend to focus on the CIA or FBI as needing to be defunded and shuttered, but the coordinating party in all of this criminal activity is the State Dept. Trump needs to disband it completely.
BIDEN: “well son of a bitch, the guy got fired”.
American interference!!!!!!
Agree. This does not pass the smell test.
They already laid the groundwork with a leak a day or two ago!
Heh, no laughing matter, but...it will be interesting to see what they do now that the world is paying attention to their pattern of activity.
I lay money that they are so arrogant and cocksure nothing will happen that we will see more charges tomorrow.
...”AND, SON OF A BITCH, HE WAS GONE...”
Pakistan’s gonna listen to Biden?
I know. More like “Pound Sand”.
Which is what I wish we would say if they demanded something from us.
But we won’t.
Oh they don’t care.......who’s gonna stop ‘em?
They sure don’t act like they’ll ever be giving up control of America do they?
I call this whole thing as B.S. by the Pakistan military-intelliegnce complex which has one interest and one interest alone with the U.S. - miltary sales and aid, while always NOT supporting us internationally. That same military-intelligence complex wants to domestically put the blame on Khan’s ouster as the fault and by the connivance of the U.S., when the people of Pakistan know Khan was on the outs with the Pakistan military-intelligence complex BEFORE any Russian invasion of Ukraine and it was they - the military-intelligence complex that engineered the non-confidence vote against Kahan. Now that same military-intelligence complex feeds the lie that they were only doing the bidding of the U.S. to on the one hand seem to ingratiate themselves with the U.S. while they know the whole thing adds to and feeds anti-U.S. sentiment in Pakistan, which the Paksitan military-intelligence complex also wants.
We - the U.S. - has been played, constantly and geopolitically - by the Pakistan military-intelligence complex from the inception of the Pakistan nation, and we continue to be played by them.
Nothing out of Pakistan is to be believed.
“ I didn’t think Pakistan paid much attention to anything we asked them to do”
We send billions in aid.
They (SD) have long been accused of being involved in all sorts of shenanigans for sure.
