As someone who never used Twitter, and only occasionally read a post there by following a link from an article or comment elsewhere, I couldn’t figure out why they needed a warrant to see what is publicly posted for anyone to see.....
Then I looked it up and see that you can ‘private message’ other registered Twits, so I guess that is what Smith wanted the warrant for; Any private messages that Trump might have sent or received, in hopes of finding other people they could charge with conspiracy, for intimidation purposes, since they want to scare everyone away from supporting Trump, doing business with Trump or even being a lawyer for him.
The thing is... If I was ‘plotting an insurrection’ I sure as Hades wouldn’t be using Twitter, Gmail, Facebook, Instagram or any other similar websites or apps Especially ones like the above which have ‘backdoors’ that the Feds watch over anyway. ..... I doubt that Trump is still naive enough to use them for anything he doesn’t expect to be made public.
