America Last: Biden’s Billions for Ukraine Could Have Built a Wall Two Times Across U.S.-Mexico Border

President Joe Biden, with help from Congress, has sent more than $66 billion in American taxpayer money to Ukraine since the start of its war with Russia—an allocation of money that could have built a border wall nearly two times across the United States-Mexico border.

Since the start of the war in 2022, Congress has approved more than $113 billion in aid for Ukraine, and Biden is expected to ask for another $10 billion aid package when Congress returns from recess. Since 2022, the United States has given more foreign aid to Ukraine than to any other country in the world, according to a Washington Post analysis. The bulk of the allotted aid has gone to military contractors making weapons and equipment for Ukraine while the rest has been used to supplement Ukraine’s national budget and provide humanitarian relief.

A conservative estimate by the Washington Post puts the amount of U.S. military, financial, and humanitarian aid sent to Ukraine since 2022 at $66.2 billion. Based on the Post’s estimate, the Biden administration could have completed nearly two brand new walls across the United States’ roughly 1,900-mile-long border with Mexico.

The Zeepers and other GOPe scum will say that the Ukraine War is worth any price because they love war and death like some people love football.

A pox on them.

I heard a republican try to explain to a Conservative radio host the national security interests of the US in xiden supporting ukraine; it was rather pathetic and a tortuous listen.

--- Biden's Billions for Ukraine Could Have Built a Wall Two Times Across U.S.-Mexico Border

Some invasions are good. Some invasions are bad. Some invasions are good. Some invasions are bad. Some invasions are good. Some invasions are bad. Some invasions are good. Some invasions are bad.

Niger and Mali are waiting in the wings. Kosovo might reappear. Some invasions are good. Some invasions are bad.

When one stands on principle, this sort of yes-no-no-yes is not possible. Ergo, the "liberal world order" in Biden's parlance, the "rules-based order" in EU parlance and beyond to the East and global South, has no real principles on which to stand, excepting power and money.

The economic term is opportunity cost. You should compare alternatives every time you spend money. Doing that will make you hypercritical of everything government does since one of the alternatives is always do nothing, i.e., keep/save your money.

Victoria Nuland recently paid a visit to Niger. Their future is looking bloody.

I have never heard that.

But I have heard that GOPers never fail to fail, always willing to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.

Trump said it would around 20 billion. and we’ve only given 113 billion to Ukraine? Yeah sure. Shady accounting going on here. They value the weapons at scrap value rather than replacement value.

So many lies

Unfortunately, Bidenskyyyy’s 81 Million are more worried about the invasion of the Ukraine than they are the invasion of the United States.

--- "If you don't stand for something, you will fall for anything.................."

Anecdote: Many years ago when we were resident in Europe, I read of a single mother in Sweden, near to one of those "migrants are welcome" areas. Her fair-haired young son was getting beaten up by the kids of migrants on a regular basis, for being "different." Her amazing comment was (paraphrase), " I don't know why they don't like us. We don't believe in anything." Duh.

Meanwhile those "migrant" kids were being taught at home and within the borders of their Islamic culture that they were "superior." Therefore, the little fair-haired boy had to be, obviously, inferior. And had no thought tool to counter, because his mother had taught him, "we don't believe in anything."

Additionally, as an experiment, a young German man — not Jewish — simply went for a stroll in a more Muslim area of Berlin wearing a yarmulke as an experiment, and was verbally assaulted by quite a number of adult Muslim men. He’d thought to prove there wasn’t such resentment in the migrant community and was very surprised to see how his little experiment turned out. Naivete. Meet a very real world. One does not “pretend” this sort of thing away.

Yes... it would have built 50 walls across Mexico, not just TWO. There was a lot left over allocated that Biden spent on other things.
