It’s imbecilic for The Associated Press to act like any person with common sense would take its screeching about “human-caused climate change” seriously now after being paid millions to spread eco-propaganda.
AP’s climate “writer” Seth Borenstein kicked off his July 31 enviro-screed by making it sound like the beginning of a science fiction novel. “At about summer’s halfway point, the record-breaking heat and weather extremes are both unprecedented and unsurprising, hellish yet boring in some ways, scientists say. Killer heat. Deadly floods. Smoke from wildfires that chokes. And there’s no relief in sight,” Borenstein cried. But Borenstein buried a more logical explanation for the extreme weather event and yet still managed to smear it with embellished climate change, anti-fossil fuel drivel: “‘This story, these impacts, are going to continue,' [NASA climate scientist Gavin] Schmidt said. 'We’re going to be seeing this pretty much this year and into next year' with a natural El Nino warming of the Pacific adding to the overwhelming influence of human-caused climate change largely from the burning of coal, oil and gas.” [Emphasis added.]
Of course, readers wouldn't know it until the bottom of Borenstein's 31 paragraphs-long agitprop that AP announced in 2022 that it was receiving $8 million from a consortium of leftist, eco-obsessed nonprofit organizations like the Rockefeller Foundation and Quadrivium (the activist organization of News Corp. Executive Chairman Rupert Murdoch’s estranged son and climate activist James Murdoch). The purpose of the leftist funding was supposedly for the purpose of “significantly expand[ing]” AP’s “climate coverage” with the goal to “infuse” the media landscape with climate journalism, all while keeping the deceptive veneer of “unbiased news” intact.

The Associated Press announced today it will significantly expand its climate coverage, creating a standalone desk that will enhance the global understanding of climate change and its impact across the world.
The initiative will infuse the global media landscape with a new stream of quality climate journalism through both AP content and in-depth training and collaboration directly with AP’s thousands of customers worldwide.
The news agency will also launch an AP StoryShare network for climate coverage, allowing news organizations to share their content with one another and in turn provide more robust coverage for their audiences.
The expansion is supported by several philanthropic organizations, including the William and Flora Hewlett Foundation, Quadrivium and The Rockefeller Foundation. AP retains complete editorial control of all content.
“Unbiased, fact-based journalism has never been more important or imperiled,” said Larry Kramer, president of the William and Flora Hewlett Foundation. “The Associated Press has, for over a century, played a crucial role reporting on the most pressing issues of our time, including climate change. The climate initiative will build on AP’s legacy of independent journalism and help millions better understand the impact of the climate crisis and counter climate-related misinformation.”

Here in lower peninsula Michigan we are moving into Fall weather earlier than usual or expected. Make if this what you will.
Maybe so, but my garden sure loves it.
Same here in Ohio. We have had a mild and wet Summer. It will also be a great year for Ohio farmers.
Per the AP all the world problems are caused by one of two things climate change or Trump.
But it’s a dry heat! /sarc
They who were saying that “there’s no relief in sight” were probably right, but that’s not saying that government wouldn’t steal as much money from the public as possible in trying to overcome something that they know little or nothing about.
