Is Ukraine Awakening To The Likelihood That It Will Be Tossed Under The NATO Bus?
Sonar 21 ^ | 5Aug 23 | Larry Johnson

Foreigners who place their trust in the promise of the United States to have their back apparently are unaware of the fate of Vietnamese, Libyans, Cambodians, Afghanis and Iraquies who believed Washington’s promises. When the going gets tough, the U.S. says adios.

The following video cartoon is a canary in the mineshaft. While the West is scrambling to blame Ukraine for the failed counter offensive, some in the Ukraine are pushing back against that narrative by correctly noting that the pledge of Washington and NATO to give them the weapons systems needed to beat back the Russian offensive is nothing more than lip service. I’m providing two versions — youtube and Rumble (just in case youtube tries to quash the video).

* the video has had me laughing for an hour- a must see.

With no success on the battlefield Ukraine is opting for the drone hail Mary — i.e., attacking a couple of Russian ships with maritime drones. These attacks are pin pricks with no strategic significance in terms of diminishing Russia’s military power. However, these attacks are likely to inspire the Russian General Staff to look at attacks on NATO ISR operating over the Black Sea because of the role played by Western aerial surveillance in providing Ukraine with intelligence needed to attack those two Russian vessels. In addition, these attacks are likely to stiffen Russia’s resolve to impose a de facto embargo on Ukrainian ports in the coming weeks.

I wonder when the London bookies will start offering betting opportunities predicting Zelensky’s fall from power or the Ukrainian military’s withdrawal from the battlefield? That is another marker that is a better predictor of the course of the war in Ukraine than any of the nonsense being published by British intelligence or the Institute for the Study of War.

Russia as a modern state can not be beaten in a conventional war without air power.

Yup, its why the Afghan's lost to the Soviets, right?

Hunter.....I can’t think of any other reason why we’d be involved... Hunter goes out into the world——on the struggling taxpayers’ dime—— to solicit bribes from lowlifes of the world.

I like that better...

That's what Biden goes around saying

And, like a fool, you keep listening to Biden? You need better guidance.

which tells us you're a complete imbecile. Writing like some 5th grader doesn't help.

Imbecile? 5th grader?

That tells me that, you are not capable of thinking on your own. A 5th grader would be a lot smarter than you and come up with better comments than you so far. That 5th grader you talk about, is pretty smart, and I'm sure many times smarter than you. I won't call you an imbecile, because, it would mean that you actually have a brain with which to make yourself an imbecile.

Having said all that, and having to defend myself against your brainless attacks...

Why don't you try to redeem yourself and actually try to speak to the subject at hand and contribute and try to sound cohesive and knowledgeable. Go ahead, try. Don't keep making a fool of yourself.

I’m nominating you freeper of the month.

That's a high honor, but, I'm holding out for 'King Of The Internet'. Can you do that for me?

You are totally wrong about everything you think about Ukraine

I order to make that comment, YOU would have to know everything yourself in order to make that judgement. But, from what I've seen so far from you, you know a lot less than me.

but you are ABSOLUTELY sure you are smarter than everyone else.

Perhaps not smarter than everyone, but for certain, smarter than people like you.

Bit of advise: quit while you're behind, or you risk getting farther behind.

In any case, tell me what would happen after the U.S and NATO and the EU give Ukraine to Russia?

Your statement makes zero sense and clearly shows that your a Zelensky fan-boi and cheer on this “war” while sitting comfortably in the USA.

You should be on Twitter or X, or whatever they call it, and type yourself silly with all the rest.

It’s truly amazing to read the comments of folks that are cheering on this war. Not one of you is willing to acknowledge all the broken treaties. Anything about how the Ukrainians treated the people in the Donbas is all Russian propaganda because how dare anyone accuse Zelensky and the Nazis of doing anything wrong.

As for rebuilding, we’re great at it. We helped rebuild Europe. Awesome. So, obviously you’re one of those that has not a care about all the corruption that has taken place and will take place, all to make DC and Wall St rich at our expense. But, no worries there.

Self-defense .... If it weren’t for the depletion of the US weapon stores, NATO/EU weaponry, more US cash than they spent in Afghanistan that we have no idea where it went, this would have been over a long time ago with much less destruction and loss of life.

The Democrats just voted NO on appointing an IG to try and find out where all the money went. That’s your self-defense.

And here you are, letting the world know that you’re a war cheerleader who isn’t willing to grab a rifle and help them defend themselves. Very generous of you to cheer on the death and destruction of a faraway land you probably couldn’t find on a map.

Sure, appeasement is better. France would have been better off in WW2 if nobody had helped to free them, after all there would have been "much less destruction and loss of life." Why did we bother helping England? Very Reaganesque of you.

And here you are, letting the world know that you’re a war cheerleader who isn’t willing to grab a rifle and help them defend themselves

Right, so if you care about our border, you're a hypocrite unless you are currently down there? Okay

NATO and the EU and the U.S. would suffer immeasurable harm if Ukraine is given up.

_————————————————

Brics is gonna take care of that. The Saudis will be accepted in a few weeks, I think, and there goes the petrodollar.

Brics is a group strongly committed to dedollarization, so we won’t be able to rely on Saudi propping of our currency.

Russia is loved around the world, just fyi.

Desperation is a terrible thing.

Comparing the crap in Ukraine to WW2.

You are a desperate individual trying to back up your ridiculous assertions. The French did give up.

The border....way to deflect and try to move the goalposts. The border. Yet another disaster by the guy you’re supporting with your war cheerleading.

Great, non-answer. Not surprised you cannot defend appeasement as a credible foreign policy.

Appeasement?

The United States has nothing to appease. It isn’t our war.

Ukraine has NEVER been an ally of the United States. It was nothing but a money laundering operation, at best.

The only thing anyone can say about the US involvement is that the State Dept, Nuland, Biden, and Obama laid the groundwork for this. That being said, that’s still no reason for us to send billions propping up their government, paying their salaries/pensions, and depleting our military equipment.

But, you do you. Ukraine is on its heals. Might be the perfect time for you to head over there, grab an AK and save the day. I’m sure they’ll be glad to have you.

Sure, Russia is a non-entity to us, a neutral country with thousands of nuclear warheads aimed at us. Okay

BRICS, aka: CRIBS, will for sure take care of Ukraine and the rest of the world, including the U.S. when it’s no longer a relevant power and becomes a 3rd world country.

Russia is loved, and so is China and the rest of the America-hating countries. Heck, half of the population of the U.S. already hates the U.S.

Karl Marx was a prescient thinker and writer. We owe him a lot. Viva communism!!!

Despite the corruption in Ukraine,is RUSSIA any better
————-
Big difference, the corruption in Ukraine is bilking billions of dollars of taxpayer money. American taxpayers are paying a big price, and have no say so in the matter..

The corruption in Russia is of course affecting the Russian people, not our concern.

That said, I have been to both places, the Ukies have learned well from Russia, their corruption is far, far greater than Russia, down to the 12 year olds charging $100 to tell you which policeman to go to and get the boot off your tire….the Ukie policeman then charges you another $100 to remove it.

Corruption is ingrained in the Ukie culture, down to the 12 year old kid.

Since way before the beginning.

Wallace Admits UK, Allies Were Building Ukraine’s Military Capability Before Conflict

MOSCOW (Sputnik) - UK Defense Secretary Ben Wallace said on Wednesday that the United Kingdom, the United States, Canada and Sweden had been investing in Ukraine and building up the country’s military capabilities before the start of the conflict in February 2022.
“Ultimately culturally it is accepted that Ukraine will join NATO. When that happens is either condition-based. Also, before ...[the conflict started in February, 2022], Britain with Sweden, Canada, the United States were investing in Ukraine and building their capabilities,” Wallace said at a news conference during the NATO summit in Vilnius.

In 2014-2015, Ukraine negotiated a series of measures with Russia, France and Germany known as the Minsk Agreements aimed at a political resolution of conflict in Donbass. In February of this year, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky admitted that he told former German Chancellor Angela Merkel and French President Emmanuel Macron that Kiev never intended to fulfill the Minsk Agreements. Merkel said that the deal had been merely an attempt to give Ukraine time to gain strength ahead of a full-scale military confrontation.
