It’ll be interesting if this goes to the Supreme Court. The same Supreme Court that refused to hear anything related to election fraud in 2020.
It seems the DOJ’s case rests on proving that Trump knew the election was totally legitimate, but nonetheless opposed the results and publicly claimed they were not legitimate results (thus the crime of fraud).
Seems like quite a stretch, but then again, they have a woke DC deep-state jihadi judge and a DC jury.
On the other hand, as one lawyer for Trump said - that means we get to publicly re-litigate and demonstrate, in court, and under no time pressure as in 2020 - ALL the fraud that took place in Nov. 2020.
Does America’s KGB (the DOJ) really want that?
Federal prosecutors repeatedly hide exculpatory evidence from the court. They did it in General Flynn’s case. Look how they tried to hide the sweet immunity deal inside Hunter Biden’s plea agreement.
