There’s a great inside baseball discussion linked and embedded down below talking about Georgia Republican Politics. However, before getting to that video some background context is needed.
There are states where the professional [GOPe] republican grip is tight, and there are states where the MAGA insurgency has gained strength loosening that corporate club grip. Georgia is a state where the party apparatus is gripping the reins tight and not willing to let the populist movement impede their professional political stranglehold.
Governor Brian Kemp is to Georgia in 2024 as Govenor Haley Barbour was to Mississippi previously. Kemp controls the party machinery and Kemp has always despised the popular support for Donald Trump, an unacceptable republican in the eyes of the party apparatus. It is not coincidental that Sea Island Georgia is the epicenter of the Wall Street assembly against the populist insurgency. Georgia is a battleground state for Republican power and control.
Before going further, watch this 20 second clip of MeAgain Kelly interviewing Ron DeSantis recently. Notice the mindset, the point of reference for DeSantis, when Kelly pokes him about his distant polling to President Trump. Notice the state he references {Direct Rumble Link} WATCH:
I’m not going to repeat the examples of the Sea Island reference points, the Mike Pence rally to support Kemp, George W Bush rallying support for Kemp, the intentional non requests for Trump ’22 campaigning, True the Vote’s Catherine Englebrecht documenting the systemic vote system corruption by Georgia Republican Governor Brian Kemp and his entire administration, or the MSM push to use Kemp as an example of a Trump slayer.
Additionally, you guys already know the background of Georgia grassroots activists booing Kemp at the state convention, and the recent issue of Brian Kemp adviser Cody Hall joining team DeSantis while remaining a Kemp advisor.
Instead, this recent discussion which outlined details of “Closed-door Meetings Held Between DeSantis, Georgia Leadership and Kemp Immediately Following Legislative Session” warrants some attention.
[Via Georgia Record] – […] Brian K. Pritchard disclosed the meetings during his comments on The Georgia 2024 Show today. Mr. Pritchard explained that the day after the Georgia legislative session ended Gov. Ron DeSantis showed up in The Georgia Capitol building and was ushered into a series of closed-door meetings. These included a session with Republican Senators, a meeting with a group of Georgia House Members and House Leader Jon Burns, and a private lunch with Gov. Brian Kemp.
The subject of each of these discussions has been kept private, but clearly there was a reason and agenda for DeSantis to visit the Georgia Capitol.
Watch the video beginning at 29:00 {Direct Rumble Link}.
.
Essentially what Brian K Pritchard outlines is some of the more recent boots on the ground data evidence that reconciles why Ron DeSantis and the Never Back Down PAC are so focused on Georgia in their talking points.
The Sea Island group of billionaires, influence agents, GOPe politicians, multinationals, Wall Street hedge funds and corporate republicans are manipulating the events in Georgia to support the roadmap that contains their nominee, Ron DeSantis.
Again, for reference, this is not a short-term issue. This is a long-term construct on behalf of the right-wing of the UniParty and the Bush clan apparatus to remove the threat of MAGA politics from their controlled party.
DeSantis is a tool, a vessel for these interests. The absentee Florida governor is not their candidate per se’, because the benefit DeSantis provides is not contained in his winning the 2024 primary, but rather in stopping Donald Trump from winning it.
In 2010 the Tea Party caught the corporate Republican party off guard, they reassembled their machinery and then attacked and removed the Tea Party influence in 2012. In 2016 the counterinsurgent Tea Party base found a way to fight back with Donald Trump; we reassembled and added more support from the middle and working class around the America First agenda and defeated Wall Street republicans again. However, every moment thereafter has been this battle between the party control operatives and the MAGA insurgents.
That battle has continued, and Georgia is the latest visible evidence of the war raging in the background.
We told you this was going to be very ugly, and it is unfolding exactly as we would expect.
It will get worse, much worse.
The key to defeating these Machiavellian constructs is to pour sunlight upon them.

The look of bitter hatred when the loyalty issue is raised!
But I guess it's as good an excuse as any as to why Kemp won convincingly and Trump lost
I’m in GA and voted for DT twice but not again.
“Yeah, the Gator is just trolling, as is his usual way.”
Per FR guidelines STOP trolling me. If you want to discuss my posts with me in an adult manner without flaming please do.
Nice idea, but it will never happen. The RINOs believe it is their party, and will never give up power in the party (but they will happily give power to the Democrats, of course). To get a real conservative party, a new party will have to be formed. I personally would have no problem dumping the GOP at this point as Trump's rise has shown how corrupt and worthless the GOP truly is. The fly in the ointment is that large numbers of GOP voters dumping the GOP would lead to more Democrat control. Needless to say, the country is in a bad place, and RINOs like Brian Kemp have played a part in creating this country's diminished standing.
The watershed that broke the Whig Party was the slavery issue, leading to the establishment of the Republican Party. Social issues like abortion, homosexual “rights”, and CRT and DEI may be the modern version of slavery.
I don't care if it's the pope speaking ex cathedra, if it doesn't fit with information that I have, I consider it wrong.
And you miss the issue. Trump raised $270 million to fight fraud that he had no evidence for.
I don't miss the issue. There was plenty of fraud, and provably so, but not when you have a court system that won't let you present it.
Since he didn’t spend it fighting that lost election, where did the money go?
I do not know that he was given 270 million, I do not know how much he spent fighting stolen elections, (not "lost." Never use your enemies lies as the basis of your argument) and I do not know why I should be concerned about this money, whatever it was.
Why should anyone care about this outside of a desire to hurt Trump?
So, Trump hires incompetents ...
Jeff Sessions comes to mind. And he hires LIARS too! Trump has had real difficulty in getting people to work for him who do not first work for the Swamp.
Yes, Trump has been forced to hire both "incompetents" and Liars. Even now, lawyers all over the country are pressuring other lawyers not to work for him because they are trying to destroy him.
Trump lost multiple lawsuits.
Let me take this opportunity to attempt to inform you of my bottomless contempt for our modern court system, the liars and imbeciles that run it, and a desire to see every one of these judicial liars dragged out into the street and beaten to within an inch of their life.
I *HATE* modern judges. They are large bags of excrement held together by a robe. They are *ARROGANT* and ritualistic and what is the truth and what is the law is the least thing they concern themselves with. Their faces should be used as dartboards and their visages should decorate the inside of urinals.
Losing lawsuits in modern courts generally makes me believe the "losers" were on the side of truth. Courts get things so wrong so often, that usually the correct side is the losing side.
Cite any sources for proven fraud.
Your own eyeballs when you watch Ruby Freeman running the exact same stack of ballots through the counting machine over and over again.
Do you not trust your own eyes, or do you consider your eyeballs to be "liars"?
It is more important that it got done than who done it. If it had been done in Georgia, Arizona, Wisconsin, Michigan, Pennsylvania and Nevada, we would be enjoying peace and a good economy under President Trump right now.
When I see slamming the Dominion machines, I name off 4 other areas that are much bigger issues than electronic voting machines, with elections around the country.
We have only interacted for a short while, so let me make it clear that I do not regard the voting machines as the primary source of fraud in the system. Unaccountable Mail in Ballots is what I see as the main source of fraud, but there are other contributors to fraud as well.
Lack of ID Verification.
Univeral Mail In Voting
Ballot Harvesting
Dirty or Fraudulent voter rolls
Exactly.
If you have thousands of people on the voter rolls who should not be there, you mail them ballots, those ballots get harvested and get mailed or turned in, they will get counted and a 100% hand count will not change the outcome and there will be no court anywhere that will alter the outcome, regardless if you file a million court cases.
If you show that there was sufficient fake registered voters, or illegal voters to change the outcome, the election should be tossed out. (As it should be in Arizona.)
I believe that standard of proof was easily met, but once again, thanks to the rotten judges in this country, we don't get the correct outcome.
The courts are garbage. They can't get anything right.
Because Biden is doing such a great job as "President."
He may get us all killed by starting World War III in Ukraine, or starting it in Taiwan, but it will be fine so long as we don't have to put up with that blowhard who actually knew how to run a nation properly.
By coincidence some of us here were having a late night/early morning discussion of some of these issues over the wee hours of this morning.

I have long believed and still believe that the mass communications systems are the key to popular support in this nation.
Too many people simply believe what they hear on television, and the party that controls the mass communications systems controls what the public thinks.
I have long said that if we ever intend to correct the instances where the country is going in the wrong direction, we must first get at least equal access to the mass communications systems or better yet, control.
You have your own FR abbreviation, TG.
Yes, it's "conspiratorial" to notice that things in Georgia happened EXACTLY the way it benefited the Democrat Party the most.
Carry on, NeverTrump.
Why did you go "flip answer" first, then "butthurt post" second?
Hmmmmmmmmmmmmm....
“Dominion voting machines are not the boogey man”
Yes, they are. Their own CEO has said he was in on the steal of the 2020 election.
“Kemp is far more conservative than Trump is.”
Not by a long shot. Kemp is corrupt.
“The only except to total Republican control of Georgia is the two US Senate seats.”
Gee. How did that happen?
L
Just today, here on FR, someone posted an article about 34,000 illegal ballots were used in Michigan during the 2020 election.
Those ballots got turned in, they got counted and there no judge anywhere in the USA that will throw them out.
At this point, it will not matter how you count the votes, regardless of how you count the votes by hand or electronic machine the results will be the same if you allow illegal ballots into the mix.
They’re at least 4 other election issues that are far more important than electronic voting machines if you want to fix the election process.
Lack of Univeral ID requirements
Universal Mail in voting
Ballot Harvesting
Bad or fraudulent voter rolls
If you allow fraudulent voters to be on the rolls and you allow mail in voting those fraudulent voters will get ballots mailed to them, those ballots will be harvested, they will get turned and counted and there is nothing that can be done about it and the results will be the same regardless of how you count them.
One of the Republicans who lost one of the Senate Races was Herschel Walker, Gee How did that happen ? /sarcasm

And that it's "Trump's fault®".
