The Morning Joe crew on July 24, 2023 confronted what to them is a nightmare scenario of a Third Party, namely No Labels. Surprise! They have even MORE to fear from another Third Party that they didn't even mention, namely the Green Party which was the Third Party that Jill Stein whom they are "still talking to their therapists about," ran under. If a hypothetical No Labels disturbs them so greatly then the Green Party is sure to send them back to their therapists.

Actually for 2024 there might be not only a Third Party for sure (Green Party) but possible also Fourth and Fifth parties. Sure to send the Democrats straight to the Rubber Room.

The Green Party is to the right of the Democrats.

It’s been 30 years since we’ve had a real third party. The only successful third party in our history is the Republicans, who overthrew the Whigs.

The few effective third parties, successful or not, were effective only because they were essentially cults of personality, whether it be Lincoln, Teddy Roosevelt in 1912, or Ross Perot in 1992. No Parties doesn’t have such a person, unless it would be able to snag RFK Jr, who could run on his family name.

Since No Labels never ran before as a third party watch how the Democrats will MICROANALYZE each and every signature to keep them from qualifying for the ballot in the various states. Gone will be 30 signature "verifications" each minute as was done in Arizona for the 2022 election and in will be the long and tedious analysis of each and every signature with the goal to throw them out as invalid.

decades ago, up here in Georgia I was a canvasser for signatures door-to-door to get the Libertarian party on the ballot.   I know it's just as you say, and they will throw out even valid signatures betting on the fact that the courts will not intervene.

Dr. Cornel West could be their undoing and they are not even willing to think of it in the open.

Before a viable third party can form, we need voting changed so that "None of the Above" is on every ballot in every election. Force the two existing parties to at least find a candidate who can beat "nobody".

Otherwise, our choice will always be one of the two slugs the UniParty puts forward.
