Houston, I found the problem.

Models are inputted data and that data can be manipulated to produce the desired models. Sort of like polls.

Especially when you leave in outlying data points that should have been excluded ( like keeping measurements from a monitoring station that was installed 30 years ago in a clear area but now is surrounded by concrete and has the exhaust from an AC unit blowing on it )
