Tucker Carlson hosted the first presidential forum for the Republican primary in Iowa on Friday with Blaze Media.
Tucker interviewed five candidates including Tim Scott, Nikki Haley, Ron DeSantis, Vivek Ramaswamy, and Mike Pence.
Mike Pence said voter ID should be a requirement in every state.
“We ought to have voter ID in every state in America,” Pence said. “But with regard to voting machines, we had them in Indiana.. but they produce paper ballots. Recounts were taken in states…I think it’s important that we do everything in our power to restore public confidence in the one person, one vote principle.”
Tucker chimed in, “Why not just get rid of electronic voting machines and call it a day and then we don’t have to debate it?”
The crowd erupted in cheers.
Pence was reluctant to agree so Tucker laughed in his face.
“Well, I’d certainly be open to that,” Pence said after hesitating.
“Is there a downside?” Tucker said laughing.

It’s the centralized tabulating regarding electronic voting that presents the problem. If votes are tallied at the precinct (and remain there) recounts are a cinch. Local tabulation makes it nearly impossible to inject hundreds, or thousands, or tens of thousands of fake ballots into the mix when the number of voters is known at the time of the poll closing. In a big room, with hundreds of thousand or millions of votes, excess ballot insertions will be unaccounted for, but counted votes.

only an audit of the vote will toss out invalid ballots.

Fixing the voting system is tricky. Not enough people out there educating the public on how it works.
I’m a novice, too. And would appreciate someone with real knowledge to write a vanity filling me in on anti=fraud procedures for voting.
Pence said he was open to eliminating electronic voting machines. He did not indicate a reluctance. He correctly said that methods of conducting elections are left up to the states. Tucker wasn’t laughing at Pence; he was laughing at the ridiculousness of voting by machines. I’m not a fan of Pence, but the headline is misleading.
Tucker is in no way finished....he is just getting started.
