When I was in 1st grade the teachers focused on the basics, math, reading, science. Even in the NYC schools were I attended until 4th grade

We were taught a song about the rainbow when I was in first grade, back in the Eisenhower administration, before anyone had any notion of acronyms like LBGTQ.
"How many colors are in the rainbow?
How many colors can be seen?
Seven! Orange, indigo, violet, yellow, red, blue and green."
Never was quite sure what "indigo" was. Or, for that matter, what "lavender" was (my mother would sometimes use it as a color term).

I saw a study we got through HR. One of the correlations was lawsuits and other problems with being a Democrat. Republicans who were unhappy found other jobs. Democrats wanted to change the company to make them happy.
