Can't have it both ways, Ray.

Either you are a Fed, or you are a criminal. Should have gone to jail in the first place, instead of all those innocent people you set up.

Tucker doesn’t work there anymore. Maybe they can get 10 mil from Fox, if they have any left.

He’ll be charged so his lawyer can say “look, they arrested him, he can’t be a fed!”

But then he’ll be released on bail and he’ll get a sweetheart deal with no jailtime when his lawsuit is over. Bet on it.

Fall in line, Tucker! As a "media" person you are supposed to COVER-UP the Feds involvement in Jan. 6th! How DARE you MAKE IT OBVIOUS Ray Epps was an embedded supervisor of the AGITATORS!!!

IF Jan. 6th was an "INSURRECTION" as the government media and communist Congress critters claim, then Epps was the LEADER OF THE INSURRECTION AND SHOULD GET A LONGER PRISON SENTENCE THAN ANYONE CURRENTLY IN THE DC PRISONS.

You forgot the “sarcasm” tag...

The FBI (Famous But Incompetent) takes care of its own. The criminal charges will be “mitigated”, and the civil suit will be permitted to continue.

The legal reasoning here is bizarre.

In order to pursue a defamation suit, the plaintiff has to demonstrate not only that the defendant defamed him, but that the defamation resulted in tangible damages.

It seems to me that the criminal charges are part of the "tangible damages" in question.

This raises three obvious questions for me:

1. Is this lawyer claiming that his client would not have been arrested had it not been for Tucker Carlson's coverage of the January 6th incident and its aftermath?

2. Related to the previous question ... The lawsuit claims that Carlson's "defamation" involved a claim that Ray Epps was a Federal agent or some kind of asset of the FBI. How does that constitute an actionable claim? There's nothing criminal about it.

3. If an arrest and prosecution is grounds for a defamation suit, then does this mean prosecutors, police, and judges across the nation can face defamation lawsuits from every criminal they prosecute?

Hunter is in no danger of going to prison. Neither are any of the Democrat Career Criminals posing as politicians.

But then he’ll be released on bail and he’ll get a sweetheart deal with no jailtime when his lawsuit is over.

I don't see how this lawsuit can proceed until the criminal charges are adjudicated. Otherwise, the defense in this case can demand information from Epps in the discovery process that would play a role in the criminal proceedings.

Epps would basically be forced to assert his Fifth Amendment rights in a civil deposition -- which means he has effectively disqualified himself from pursuing the civil lawsuit in the first place.

Revolver News exposed this guy and Tucker Carlson made it well known.

The deep-state will morph this into Ray Epps Fraud 2.0

His “trial” will get a slow-walk, delayed trial, hung DC Jury, etc... until long after next election, then charges will be dismissed or he’ll get a slap on the wrist.

After a very drawn-out process, Americans will get bored, Leftist media will have their talking points, and the DOJ can say “see? Nobody is above the law” and the Ray Epps operation can shift into legally harassing Tucker Carlson.

This is what my cynical mind can imagine, based on previous experience....

Yep. I heard that his crew went towards the Capitol early before him and was removing barricades along the way. Then he goes down with others screaming to attack and people got there and didn’t know where they could stand and where not to be. Others they’re whipping people up in a frenzy. Heard many that were arrested was standing in the yard and never went into the building. Anyone that damaged property or did damage in the building I could understand being arrested. But ones that were simply confused and was only on the grass that got arrested in don’t understand. I know there was a stage and things set up for Trump to go down. It had to be confusing for some. And Epps is the one on a bullhorn yelling to go in and attack. Did anyone see how far he went.. Did he go in the building or on the grass where others were arrested for. Either way he was let off the hook. Carlson simply reminded everyone of what he did. After it happened all media was showing the video of him walking down there telling people to go in. Then all the sudden they quit showing it or talking about it.

They're NOT incompetent. They know EXACTLY what they are doing.

"FIB" is more appropriate, given that is what they're REALLY GOOD AT.

This guy is a set up stooge to blame Trump for J6. Mark my words he is going to come out plea-bargaining for testimony connecting Trump to the DC insurrection crap hoax. He will come out saying that he had orders from Trump’s camp to cause to rally the people to rush the capital. Mark my words Lawfare and the DC swamp POS are behind this 100%. Their strategy and plan is coming to fruition by leaving this last domino to charge trump with this insurrection hoax crime. They really believe this is the final nail in trump’s coffin! Is it? These people are hateful, evil and delirious with hate for Trump and anyone that’s associated with him. It’s beginning to make sense why they are charging Epps with inciting a riot. It’s crystal clear now! ….He is the last strawman!

Epps needs to blame himself. He alone is responsible for what everyone has viewed on actual video of his actions that day, and the day before, taken by different people.

We knew about Epps way before Carlson said anything about him.

Blame Tucker????? Epps is such a clown that he allowed himself to be filmed several times encouraging protesters to attack the Capitol Building. He testified under oath that he never personally entered the Capitol but vids show him running around in the Building. Who paid his transport and expenses for him to be involved in J6?
