Bill Mitchell has turned himself into a snake oil shill for Ron DeSantis. His big shtick is to pretend that President Trump is no longer really popular with Republican primary voters. To do this Mitchell has to perform absurd mental gymnastics combined with outright pretense. One example is how Mitchell keeps downplaying the size of the Trump rally crowds. Most recently he has been claiming that the July 1 Trump rally in Pickens, SC was really only about 2000. To "prove" this Mitchell has been flooding Twitter with a blizzard of aerial photos of Pickens purporting to show the small crowd size which is an old trick since there is no indication of what time of the day those shots were taken.
On the upside is that Bill Mitchell swore that he would remove himself FOREVER from social if/WHEN Ron DeSantis either loses or drops out of the 2024 primary.

I’ve been to Pickens and it is not a large town. Its quite small, maybe 5,000 people max.
I never thought there could be someone more slimey than many of our politicians, but De Santos and his team have certainly set a new precedence.
I just don’t see why many people think desantis is some great guy when it’s obvious in many ways he is as you said slimey - a pretender for sure as he try to enrich himself while stepping on various people groups to get there.
If we learned anything in 2020, it’s that rally crowds mean nothing. Biden’s rally attendance numbered in the 100s, he hid in the basement and still got 81 million votes.
It all depends on who is counting those ballots and how many mules the side has.

Honestly I think a lot of people here hate Desantis because he is Trumps greatest threat.
I like Trump (voted for him 2x) and I like Desantis not sure why one has to be a villain. I would be happy with Trump POTUS and Desantis as VP and I would be happy with Desantis as POTUS and Trump as speaker of the house, VP etc.
