Republican Georgia Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene was removed from the House Freedom Caucus after taking Speaker Kevin McCarthy’s side too many times on key votes. Greene also feuded with Freedom Caucus member Lauren Boebert.
Maryland Rep. Andy Harris confirmed the removal saying the Boebert feud was “the straw that broke the camel’s back.” He said:
“I think the way she referred to a fellow member was probably not the way we expect our members to refer to other fellow, especially female, members.”
Greene called Boebert a ‘little b*tch” earlier.
“A vote was taken to remove Marjorie Taylor Greene from the House Freedom Caucus for some of the things she’s done,” Harris added.
“I think the straw that broke the camel’s back was publicly saying things about another member in terms that no one should,” he said.
Greene also went after Freedom Caucus member Ken Buck of Colorado after he came out against cutting funding to the Justice Department.
“Any Republican who has said or even written ‘Drain the Swamp’ must be ready and willing to cut funding, use impeachment, and use the Holman rule,” Greene said.
“Drain the swamp,” she added.
According to Politico:
It is the first time the group has formally booted a member from its ranks. Then-Rep. Justin Amash previously quit the group.
Harris noted that there was “one other member a couple of years ago, who we probably would have asked to leave, but we just decided not to.”
Members of the Freedom Caucus have been the driving force behind challenges to Speaker Kevin McCarthy as he tried to win the gavel and during a recent debt fight.
Though those strategies didn’t completely unify the group, Harris said Thursday that after the Greene vote there were no other remaining “large divisions.”
Sure seems like everyone has a price and can be bought.
“OK, I will take the hint and take a closer look at her voting record.
Talk is cheap, so I will see how cheap she really is.”

suspect she did not change at all. our perception of her changed as she gave us history of actions to look at. other then some comments she claimed were mischaracterized and the fact she haunted the Q threads on social media before running we did not have much to judge her on.
She wasn’t silenced, she was merely kicked out of the Freedom Caucus. That was the Freedom Caucus acting independently to remover from their group consisting of 46, now 45 members of the 222 Republic House Members.
MTG is a narcissist and also has a screw loose.
It’s not voting record.
It’s how she votes on VOTES THAT MATTER.
There are not many of those types of votes.
The Debt Ceiling Was One of Those Types of Votes.
Where is her Yes Vote on Debt Ceiling?
She Voted Yes.
I don’t see it listed.
AT 83, GLAD I WON’T BE AROUND MUCH LONGER.
>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>
Sure you will! I’ll be 82 next month and I plan to be around until at least 2040! Just lose a little weight and do a little more walking, you’ll be alright!
I wish it was that easy. Thanks anyway.
she looks solid to me. She was kicked out because she tells it like it is and makes them look bad for being spineless twits.
her voting record was pretty solid from 2 different sources, 98% and 100%. If I said silenced, then I misspoke. She was kicked out because she is a loose cannon and says it like it should be said making the others in this caucus look spineless
She was kicked out for attacking one of her compatriots is a very public way. If she felt she needed to get into it with Lauren Boebert, then she should have done it more discretely. She’s a passionate person, but she needs to exercise a bit more self-control. I have no doubt she will be welcomed back into the Freedom Caucus if she so desires.
Yeah, I agree. Keep the cat fight private.
🙂 I am disappointed though that she decided to side with McCarthy, I knew he would cave, because he’s another weak-kneed RINO. He didn’t disappoint. Did she learn from that mistake? I sure hope so. Power tends to corrupt.
“Its a wonder they have any majority in the Federal government, anywhere.”
Indeed. It’s almost like the leftists ‘allowed’ the GOP to take the House, so they would have a scapegoat to blame for when they collapse the economy, finally.
I find it to be rather disingenuous for someone to claim to want to “drain the swamp”.... when they support and champion a proven RINO... ie part of that swamp... like McCarthy.
They’re lying or stupid. Or both.
LOL!!!!!!
