President Joe Biden mistakenly said Russian President Vladimir Putin is "clearly" losing the war in Iraq while answering questions from reporters at the White House.
Biden was likely talking about Russia's war in Ukraine, saying Putin has been unsuccessful in the conflicts at home and abroad.
"It's hard to tell, but he is clearly losing the war in Iraq, he's losing the war at home, and he has become a bit of a pariah around the world. And it's not just NATO. It's not just the European Union. It's Japan. It's, you know, 40 nations," Biden said.
Biden was taking questions before flying to Chicago to deliver an address on "Bidenomics," which the White House has called "his vision for growing the economy from the middle-out and the bottom-up, not the top-down."
