Bud Light has always been a Pride brand. A gay beer so to speak. (Seattle native here...Bud Light sponsors all the gay events since forever)
It used to be fine, because pride events and pride sponsorships were always kept on the down-low — noticed only in those communities.
AB screwed the pooch by sponsoring the tick-tok trans that had wide ranging notoriety.
Also, BL is a fungible beer with no distinguishing qualities outside of its branding so it was easy to replace/substitute with other beers.
All it took was one Ivy league elite to crash the brand.
What’s your opinion - did their sponsorship of the Pride shows actually help with their sales among those people?
