June 25th was the date of Custer’s Last Stand when Custer and all the men he commanded were wiped out in the Battle of the Little Bighorn. Alongside the leadership of Crazy Horse, the older wisdom of Sitting Bull was a factor in the Indian victory.
Here a few quotes from Sitting Bull:
“If we must die, we die defending our rights.”
“When I was a boy, the Sioux owned the world. The sun rose and set on their land; they sent ten thousand men to battle. Where are the warriors today?”
“It is not necessary for eagles to be crows.”
“Now that we are poor, we are free."
The Greatness of America is Red and White and Blue.
Sitting Bull was about 59:years old when he was shot and killed in 1890.

If you read enough books about the “Sioux War of 1876”, you start to learn that Sitting Bull was a bag of wind who was laughed at by the majority of Sioux warriors and chiefs. Crazy Horse was the rooster running that chicken coop. Sitting Bull was a bag of wind who would agitate for war. Once every warrior was up on their pony, Sitting Bull would wander off with the old women to sing songs about war and dance a war dance. Crazy Horse despised him for that.
Or even repeating rifles. Most of his troops had single shot rifles.
Of course they were savages, so are all men. In modern day, the government tells men and women to go die for nothing. Not even their own land, or country. Truthfully, Americans already own nothing. That house and land you claim to own belongs to government. You rent it for $3K a year if it’s paid for. The only entity in this country or any other, that owns property is government. The Natives didn’t have that, they were called uncivilized because they did their own killing. We the civilized hire assassins.
