I’d never say trump was a true “conservative,” but he is the right man for our times. Conservatives long decried tariffs as a hindrance to “Free Trade” and Free Trade has long been the gospel. That’s fine and all that, but times have changed and tariffs are at this point in history one of our best weapons of war against the Chinese . We probably should thank the UN for continuing to grant China “developing nation” status and likewise thank our leaders past and present for their adherence to anything the UN et al have to say.
