Across the Global South, certain perceptions of the West prevail -- and for many, represent the reality they see.
The West is seen as judgmental for constantly finding fault with other countries. While Westerners may see public criticism as a regular diplomatic practice, it is seen by many as false righteousness, devoid of genuine partnership.
Western critiques are seen to be driven by aggressive media, political demagoguery and vested interest groups that seek to please domestic constituencies and advance their own political and economic agendas.
The West is perceived to perpetuate double standards on issues ranging from climate action and responsibility to trade and accountability for human rights violations.
Western nations have made the largest contributions to carbon emissions over the years, yet they have failed to meet pledges to provide $100 billion in climate financing for developing nations. They called for global solidarity during the pandemic while instead often pursuing vaccine nationalism.
Western nations preach free trade but increasingly engage in protectionism. They promote competition but as Mahathir Mohamad, the former Malaysian prime minister, pointed out, they resent those who outcompete them.
Wiryono Sastrohandoyo, who served as Indonesia's ambassador to Australia and other countries, said once that Western nations "like to sit on a high pedestal, pontificating to others, acting both as judge and jury to the rest of the world."

“have failed to meet pledges to provide $100 billion in climate financing for developing nations”
The bribes are late.
Do they want the deposits in their leaders’ accounts in Switzerland or the Caribbean islands?
I’m very disappointed that Wiryono Sastrohandoyo has such a low opinion of Western nations.
Is he wrong? Especially with our pushing faggotry on the rest of the planet?
Fining fault with other countries?
We also find fault with our own country.
French find fault with France. Brits with Great Britain. and of course both R and D in the US.
This is what we do. We don’t discriminate against anyone in the fault finding category...with a few exceptions. 15% of Democrats don’t find fault with Biden. 35% of Trump supporters don’t find fault with Trump.

It is interesting to observe the drive of institutions in Western Nations to destroy Western Civilization.
All they have to do is go all in on Globohomo.
We only have the remnants of the Western Civilization remaining. I suppose this is what the fall of Rome looks like. America is a hegemony. But it is not sustainable as it is right now. I suspect that America will soon split up into several states. The West (and NATO) will collapse as a cohesive entity. Orthodox nations should survive (even though they are somewhat nihilistic in their own way due to lasting effects of communism).
Of course, there are bribes involved. Bribes that are chump change compared to the trillion dollar gravy train the NATO, Uke and DC oligarchs are riding. Getting past the corrupting West’s bribes and intimidation, take a look at the woke, green, pervo globalist Western agenda that is driving all of those nations into the arms of Xi and his BRIChinaS+ monster.
Heck no, he's not wrong!
He is thinking “A girl for reproduction but a young boy for pleasure. Here little boy, want an ice cream?”
Yes. It could happen.
The West (and NATO) will collapse as a cohesive entity. Orthodox nations should survive (even though they are somewhat nihilistic in their own way due to lasting effects of communism).
Yes. They could collapse.
Wrong. "nihilistic.....due to lasting effects of communism."
The USSR is over communism. It was an experiment that failed, and now they've made a correction, and that correction is working. Heck, even the so-called communist nation of China abandoned the tenants of Mao and have a modified version that seems to be working well. So, the old communism is dead and gone.
On the other hand, our version of democracy seems to have loads of troubles.
Let's see....
-former President indicted
-Jan 6 protestors in prison
-Biden and his family on the take
-stealing the last presidential election
-locking people in their homes for a hyped-up pandemic
-spending $32 trillion in debt
-a two-tier justice system -- one for me and you and another for the elites
Got more if you need them.
I think that's the worst part. Before it may be somewhat hidden. Now it's brazen and in your face. They know that there's nothing we can do about it.
One more thing.
You can't believe a word any of them say. Don't listen to what they say, 'cause they will say anything -- but believe in what they actually do.
What they do is the hard part and takes a little work, but well worth it.
Look at Joe Manchin. I would never vote for him, but he sure stood up strong for his coal-mining home state. He said it and he DID it when he was the lone voice on his side.
