There was a time in America when the power of the central government and its ostensible public head (the President) did not matter much in the lives of average Americans. That is when America thrived and people lived free.
We steadily centralized power and money in one place, Washington DC. We became an empire.
This is only the start. I fear it will get much worse.
Pence is troubled as he might be next. Any association to Trump is subject to scrutiny by the democrats.
