In this stop-action animated series, young Davey Hansen
and his best friend (and dog) Goliath live ordinary
suburban American lives. In each episode, Davey and
Goliath experience some form of moral conflict either
in themselves or in their friends. Drawing upon
the guidance of his parents, his teachers, and his own
religious beliefs, Davey doesn't always do the right
thing, but he does always come away from the experience
having learned valuable moral and life lessons.

When I was a very young person, this is about the only place I could go to for Christian instruction. God bless David and Goliath.
Ditto.....many fond memories just reading the headline......Wish I would’ve listened, my younger life would have been so much less turbulent.
Loved that show as a kid.
I remember a joke about it on “The Simpsons” where Ned Flanders says his son Todd used to watch the show but found the idea of talking dogs to be too blasphemous to watch.

Watched it every chance I got as a kid. Watched Flintstones, Jetsons, and Johnny Quest a lot too.
Blasts from the past. What’s next? Crusader Rabbit?
Loved MAD TV.
Sorry, the rabbit unable to hold much interest.

Thanks that was a good trip down memory lane. As were the fractured fairy tales and the David and Goliath stories.
Davey and Goliath was a last-option watch “cartoon” ranking somewhere between my regular cartoon favorites and my Grand Parent’s daytime soap operas or Lawrence Welk show.
Don’t forget Space Ghost and Gigantor.
I’ve never heard of this toon. I watched the same, JQ was my favorite along with the Herculoids and scooby-doo.
Damn I’m old
I loved The Impossibles a rock band that were also super heros
well damn, don’t remember that one either. There was a post apocalyptical one called Thundar the Barbarian I like too.
I loved this as a child and will save it for my grandchildren to enjoy and learn from.
It’s hard to believe this series was started by one of the parent churches of the ELCA.
