With that title I thought this piece would be about immigration.

But yeah, the popular notion is that secret police organizations like the Stasi, KBG, etc would go around grabbing people off the streets and then torture or bribe them into giving up or making false accusations against their neighbors.

The scary chilling part is, if you research old interviews of ex-stasi, KGB, etc members, the reality is they did very little of that, they didn’t have to, the overwhelming majority of the time people were more than happy to come in on their own and voluntary and rat out and/or make false accusations about their neighbors.

Scary stuff and an indictment on the Human race, but during the lockdowns you could see we haven’t changed one bit.
