Yes…and all Justice had to do for the FBI to not file suit was to not challenge Manchin. But Justice didn’t listen…
Yes, it always seems that "this case is different" there just might be something to it this time so we should just allow the democrats a free run at our candidates (again) because we heard it from a friend who heard it from a friend who heard it from another....

Regarding Justice, isn’t wasn’t from a friend it was my uncle who was a senior executive of a mining engineering services company. I also heard it from others and from another mining company CEO who i am friends with and is GOP. He also went to HS with Justice. This is a small state almost all the people who have been somewhat successful in life know each other. Just because we want something to be true that is our candidates are pure & pristine doesn’t make it true.

Any number of liberal/enviromental groups would have had reams of boilerplate accusations ready for the asking, to make up the bulk of a host of accusations against these Justice/coal companies.
This lawfare suit was pretty much ready to go when Justice formally announced. All DOJ had to do was update the particulars and let 'er rip.
This damnable administration has probably prepared dozens of such and similar suits to be served on those that dare to cross them or the party.
