My Uncle Mike, went into the service w/ a childhood buddy, who was killed right next to him on Guadalcanal. Uncle Mike was wounded, but recovered, fought at Bougainville, came come and lived to the honorable age of 101.
RIP Uncle Mike, Dad, and all my uncles who served…🙏
