If China wants to attack Taiwan, the best time would be on the Friday afternoon (EST) preceding a 3 day weekend when Joe Biden takes his lid until Tuesday. There would be little he could do during that time since he would be basically in a state of suspended animation. Much like what is happening now. A default is supposedly coming up in a few days and Biden took a lid Friday afternoon and can't negotiate until Tuesday.
