Great. Make fools of Americans concerned over this. Idiots who made this story up does no favors to those who want to fix the veterans situation.
Thanks for posting this! I fell for the original story and I’m glad to be corrected.
Actually Homeless Veterans have no business being housed in a hotel at taxpayer expense anymore than a homeless bum or homeless illegal.
I looked at the hotel. $129 a night. What I’d call a nice 2-star hotel room. Most people on ranking....give it 3 to 5 points (max of five). About a mile from the airport (end of town), and next to the interstate. Six hotels in town, this is the more expensive of the six.
On hoax rating? I’d give it a ‘9’ out of ten. The minute the story came out....there should have been some local TV crew or newspaper gal to visit and get the ‘rest-of-the-story’, and no one did that. The story got picked and carried upon initial distribution.
Don’t need those kinds of folks on our side.
New York is proud to say “We condemn this scurrilous lie that veterans were thrown out of NY hotels. Our homeless veterans were already on the streets where they belong.”
Kinda figured. New York wouldn’t spend money to house homeless citizens let alone vets.
Not helpful at all
