Trump has been assaulted for eight solid years with every conceivable insult known to mankind, has been impeached, pilloried, attacked 24/7 by the news media with every conceivable lie known to mankind, slandered, libeled, and when he responds to the jackals, people like you tippy toe around and are just cratered by what you consider to be an unkind remark.

Trump’s tactics are failing? Have you been paying attention to DeSantis’s poll numbers? They’ve been in free-fall for the past two or three weeks. Don’t believe in polls? Just look around Free Republic and you can see it. The number of DeSantis skeptics is clearly on the rise. That’s the problem when you emerge from the shadows. People start to take a closer look.
Trump hit DeSantis hard and early because he understood that DeSantis was the guy the Establishment was going to rally around. He recognized it months ago, when most Republican voters still naively believed DeSantis was a squeaky clean, anti-Establishment, anti-globalist, reformer.
