Don’t need all these words to sum up what happened.
1) We no longer treat mental illness and let mentally ill wander the streets
2) Many mentally ill wandering the streets are very dangerous and many have rap sheets and many will continue to commit crimes but our judicial system continues to let them walk the streets.
3) When the mentally ill become violent, we will have circumstances when people protect themselves as no LEO’s are around.
4) If the mentally ill attackers are injured, given our bizarro state of affairs, they will become the victim, especially if they are Black and the real victims are White.
5) The Black persons family will hire lawyers, the usual race baiters like sharpton will stir up the community, and fir the first time they will actually supposedly care for this mentally ill person.
I had an incident with a “mentally ill” person once.
A neighbor of my brother; Brother would talk about crazy and unbalanced the guy was.
Everytime I would visit my brother, this guy would bum smokes off me. One day, I was leaving and was already in my truck, backing out to leave.
The neighbor had come outside, without me realizing it and approached my truck, still didn’t see him, and started banging on the side of the truck.
I ignored him and drove off.
The next time I visited, he comes out of his apartment and started talking sh1t and approaching me aggressively.
I was unarmed, as in no gun, but I did have a machete behind the seat.
After I pulled it out, he began backing off and became a lot calmer and apologetic.
Point is, I believe that some people feign mental illness and act crazy to intimidate others and just get away with being an asshole.
And when faced with the very real possibility of serious injury or death, the crazy takes a back seat to personal safety.
This Jordan Neely guy may have been mentally ill, but his life and safety are not more important than those around him.
And if his family cared so much about him when he was alive, they would have done anything, ANYTHING, to help him. Opportunists and vultures.
Thanks for posting this piece of malignant drivel. One of the great things about FR is that we are allowed to post articles with which most of us strongly disagree, this being an excellent example . Reading the article makes one think that it is some kind of evil white violence that is deliberately stalking poor, innocent, young black men on the streets of Chicago and that there are machine-gun equipped pickup trucks running around day and night, manned by uniformed Klansmen, who are randomly shooting innocent black males. Indeed, a monstrosity like this article needs to be read just so people could believe the that its author actually believes the absolute, vile falsehoods of which it is totally composed.
‘Let us have dominion over your lives’ is not that far from ‘let us take what we want’. The next logical step.

The system didn’t “fail” Mr. Neeley. There is no system in place in inner cities to deal with the mentally ill criminals such as him. He should have been locked away for the safety of himself and others. The cities leaders, Courts and law enforcement chose to let him walk the streets even after being repeatedly arrested for attacking others. It was just a matter of time before someone stopped him from harming another person.
Conservatives can’t be blamed for this and neither can the brave Marine who protected others. This is all on the liberal city leaders who black Americans vote for time and time again.
Far, far more blacks are killed by blacks than anything or anyone else. In the United States, a black is about 50 to 100 times more likely to kill a white person than vice-versa.

Ashli Babbit by contrast, could have been physically restrained but was not so lucky. She was instead shot in the neck while helpless and easy to apprehend at point blank range. Now THAT is an actual case of judging and killing.
