Emails Expose Anti-Trump Agenda Behind 51 Intel Officials’ Letter on Hunter Biden Laptop

Newly emerged emails have exposed the disturbing anti-Trump agenda behind the now-infamous letter signed by 51 former intelligence officials that stated reports on Hunter Biden’s laptop were “Russian disinformation.”

According to an email exchange between former CIA Acting Director Michael Morell and former CIA Director John Brennan, top intel officials wanted to cast doubt on the story to help Democrat President Joe Biden in the 2020 election.

Morell, the coauthor of the infamous statement, recruited influential figures in the intelligence community to sign the letter to give then-candidate Joe Biden a “talking point” during his debate with President Donald Trump, the emails show.

The email exchange from October 19, 2020, reveals Morell’s behind-the-scenes efforts to solicit signatories from the intelligence community to help the Biden campaign.

The latest revelation comes after the Washington Examiner’s Jerry Dunleavy first reported on a related email written by Morell and statement coauthor Marc Polymeropoulos on October 18 and addressed to a number of former intelligence officials.

That email contained a draft of the final letter.

Morell and Polymeropoulos wrote to the ex-officials asking them for their signatures on the statement and saying that they created the statement because:

[W]e believe the Russians were involved in some way in the Hunter Biden email issue and because we think Trump will attack Biden on the issue at this week’s debate and we want to give the VP a talking point to use in response.

A copy of the email was obtained by Breitbart.

Recipients’ names have been blacked out, but Breitbart confirmed Brennan was one of them:

Then, in the October 19 email exchange, which was first reported by Just the News, Morell followed up with Brennan and listed a number of potential signatories:

Can I add your name to this list? Will be adding Leon, Sue Gordon, Jeh Johnson, George, Lisa Monaco, and Mike Rogers (DIRNSA) today.

And working on adding Dan Coats, Mike Rogers (HPSCI), and Tom Bossert.

And lots of other IC career folks.

Trying to give the campaign, particularly during the debate on Thursday, a talking point to push back on Trump on this issue.

Brennan responded compliantly within 20 minutes:

Ok, Michael, add my name to the list. Good initiative. Thanks for asking me to sign on.

See a copy of that email exchange below:

As we now know, Biden did indeed use the statement in his debate against Trump on October 22, saying:

Look, there are 50 former national intelligence folks who said that what this, [President Trump’s] accusing me of is a Russian plan.

They have said this this has all the characteristics — four — five former heads of the CIA, both parties, say what he’s saying is a bunch of garbage.

Nobody believes it except him and his good friend Rudy Giuliani.

Most of those — aside from Brennan and Leon Panetta — whom Morell said he would be adding to the list do not appear among the 51 public signatories on the statement.

The letter was published by Politico just days after the New York Post’s Hunter Biden story broke.

The statement does however include nine anonymous signatories.

The Post’s story, written by Emma-Jo Morris, revealed damning information about the Biden family’s business dealings.

The report was based on information found on an abandoned laptop of Hunter’s that the Post had obtained.

The statement signed by Morell and the dozens of others, many of whom had once served in the highest ranks of the U.S. government, claimed the story had “all the classic earmarks of a Russian information operation.”

However, they acknowledged they had no evidence to support such a claim.

The revelations that these former top officials were intentionally and explicitly attempting to aid Biden’s campaign comes after Morell revealed in congressional testimony last month that now-Secretary of State Antony Blinken had inspired him to write the letter.

Portions of Morell’s testimony were published in a letter to Blinken by Judiciary Committee chair Rep. Jim Jordan (R-OH) and Intel Committee chair Rep. Mike Turner (R-OH).

The testimony also reveals that the Biden campaign coordinated with Morell on the dissemination of the statement.

“Based on Morrell’s testimony, it is apparent that the Biden campaign played an active role in the origins of the public statement, which had the effect of helping to suppress the Hunter Biden story,” the chairmen wrote.

They charge that the statement served to prevent “American citizens from making a fully informed decision during the 2020 presidential election.”

The election was corrupted by this and many other unethical tactics. The election results can be called into question as as much at 15% of the voters said they would not have voted for Biden if they had the facts.

The election was clearly stolen and the chief fault lies with the liars like Morrell in the Deep State. Note that he was trying to get Dan Coats, a former R senator and Mike Rogers, the head of the NSA who alerted Trump to wiretapping at the Trump Tower, to sign. To their credit, neither of them did. The signers of the Declaration of Independence were ready to forfeit their lives, their fortunes but not their sacred honor. This list of 51 had no honor to forfeit

Pointedly, it was a weasel worded statement that left open the interpretation it could be other than noted. But they knew exactly what they were doing as they knew the coconspirator media would chime it with their interpretation of the weasel wording.

Meanwhile, The Bidet campaign believed that Trump was going to use the lap top. Hum, was that a good guess or did they have some secret sources within the Trump campaign passing on that strategy? Inquiring minds would like to know.

"The election results can be called into question as as much at 15% of the voters said they would not have voted for Biden if they had the facts."

Meh. That would just have meant a few more truckloads of ballots showing up in the middle of the night to cover it.

Exactly, it was a plot, a conspiracy which they gave much thought to. As you said, they knew the media would twist the connotation and the public would gobble it up.

That letter shows not just the corruption and collusion of all those involved, but it also shows the complete corruption of any of the news media that repeated the lies without doing their own investigations.

Which of course, was and is by design . . .

All of these people received government pensions and benefits. All of them had served in the intelligence community. All of them were connected by continued government pensions and government experience. No one is going to deny these facts.

They took all of that and deliberately lied to the American People and used that to secure political victory. That is Government of the Government, by the Government, for the Government.

I think we have identified the problem.
