You quote MacGregor during month one and two of the conflict, back when none of the military analysts thought that Zelensky would throw every last man into the wood chipper. Military analysts are used to studying wars in which the leader wants the country to remain and restore. IN this war, Zelensky forfeits everyone and everything. That requires new analysis. MacGregor figured it out, as did others, and they no longer believe Zelensky, or his NATO commanders, are decent or care about the public at all.

It’s not really a question why MacGregor says the things he does, he’s either delusional or on the Kremlin’s payroll (or both). Zelenskyy didn't do that - he doesn't have the power to do it. And there is clear indications that in Feb to June that was not the case -- and the Ukrainians defeated the Russians at the battle of Hostomel and the battle of Kyiv in the first two months
