Attack On Europe: Documenting Russian Equipment Losses During The 2022 Russian Invasion Of Ukraine

This list only includes destroyed vehicles and equipment of which photo or videographic evidence is available. Therefore, the amount of equipment destroyed is significantly higher than recorded here. Small arms, ATGMs, MANPADS, loitering munitions, drones used as unmanned bait, civilian vehicles, trailers and derelict equipment are not included in this list. All possible effort has gone into avoiding duplicate entries and discerning the status of equipment between captured or abandoned. Many of the entries listed as 'abandoned' will likely end up captured or destroyed. Similarly, some of the captured equipment might be destroyed if it can't be recovered. When the origin of a piece of equipment can't be established, it is not included in the list. The Soviet flag is used when the equipment in question was produced prior to 1991. This list is constantly updated as additional footage becomes available.

@Tendar 10h

The Wallstreet Journal (WSJ) reporter Evan Gershkovich has been arrested in Yekaterinburg. He is accused of “espionage”.

But the real reason for the arrest is that Gershkovich was reporting on Wagner’s recruitment.

In general, Russia’s hostage “diplomacy” will go into overdrive. Citizens from Western countries must be avoid or leave Russia, asap.

We can all wish that the US reverses it’s decision not to even entertain peace talks which the Chinese introduced.

Did you believe the TV when they were lying about everything Trump said or did? Did you believe the TV when it came to covid? Did you believe the TV when it came to the clot shot? If you didn’t believe the TV for those, why do you suddenly believe it now?

“The US is pulling some munitions from South Korea”

Those are US owned munitions.

“US Urges Americans In Russia To Leave “Immediately””

“US State Department Secretary Antony Blinken on Thursday requested the Americans living in Russia to leave the country “immediately”, after the reporter was arrested in Moscow.

Taking to Twitter, Mr Blinken said, “We are deeply concerned over Russia’s announcement it has detained a U.S. citizen journalist. The @StateDept’s highest priority is the safety and security of U.S. citizens abroad. If you are a U.S. citizen living or travelling in Russia - please leave immediately.””

Nope, I was overestimating Russia - as we have done since Ukraine smashed Russia in Feb-March 2022

Putin has no fixed successor - like every dictator, he is paranoid and doesn't want a successor

Muscowy has had this in the past: Ivan Grozny killed off his successors and then the Rurikid dynasty burned

the Tsardom of Muscowy also collapsed in 1917 and its constituent parts split apart.

The Next Moscow centric empire - the USSR, collapsed in 1991 and Belrus, Ukraine etc. got independent

Next we will see Russia collapse once more

Next - Russia's ability to make war has been severely downgraded - and that is visible in the fact that it has been pushed back continuously since April

laplata There are hard core replacements for Putin waiting in the wings.

Weally? Where? Why have there been no such successors seen over the 23 year dictatorship of Putin's? And don't name Medvedev - he's a joke

Prigozhin, etc are contenders for the throne -- Poopie has no designated successor, no one who has been trained for the throne, nothing -- the Russia house will collapse - just as it has done in the past, only now it will reduce them to Muscowy

laplate: Russia has horrendous weapons they have not used. They have huge stocks of them. --

ha ha, nope they don't -- they just talk, but the T90 is just a prototype, their "hypersonic missiles" miss and are basically limited in numbers

They have nuclear weapons, but these are in the same condition as the aircraft carrier Admiral Kuznetsov

What logic am I lacking with this? You’re the one that seems to be operating on emotions when it comes to Russia; is it the old cold war mindset that never left you?

“The US is pulling some munitions from South Korea because of the serious depletion of US munitions elsewhere that have been sent to Ukraine. They are being depleted faster than they can be manufactured.”

This is true. American pre-positioned stocks of artillery shells are being depleted much more rapidly than current rates of production (in South Korea, Europe, Israel and the USA).

But most of that was stockpiled to meet the Russian threat, which it is doing. As these rounds are expended, so are the old Soviet stockpiles they were intended to counter. The Russians are burning through theirs faster, and also far beyond their capacity to produce. NATO planners can easily model the comparative use rates, and are unlikely to be surprised (unless China begins large scale supply to Russia, which would incur major economic sanctions on them).

Artillery shells are one of very few commodities or weapon systems where there is even a semblance of parity. Beyond them, Russia is torching its old Soviet fleets and stockpiles of everything else much much faster than the West.

In the main, Russia has burned through the better half of their conventional ground combat power, while the West has yet to commit theirs. So far, Russia has mostly just been fighting the old Warsaw Pact fleets of vehicles and planes. The first few of the (older) NATO vehicles are just now preparing to enter combat in the Ukraine, as part of the upcoming counteroffensive (starting April or May).

I view it as likely a conscious Strategy by NATO to achieve an end state to the war, where those old Soviet stockpiles have been destroyed - have Russia punch itself out, so any future regime won’t have that capability available to them.

Turkish parliament ratifies Finland's NATO accession as Sweden kept waiting

Erdogan has an election coming, and polling doesn’t look good for him. For now, he must appease both the moderates and the head choppers. Should he win, he will “have more flexibility after the election”. Should he lose, his opponent, Kemal Kilicdaroglu, has stated he will admit Sweden. Either way, I predict Sweden will join Finland in NATO by the end of the year.

“”“The Russians were so confident that they would succeed [in capturing Kyiv] in hours that their support apparatus had rented apartments around the key sites from which their special forces were supposed to operate in Kyiv.””””

I might be wrong but it seems there were stories about apartment choices and rentals having been made by the incoming Russians back in the very early days of the invasion.

This is such a story.

“The Kremlin was so certain of victory in Ukraine, a top Russian official had already picked out a pad in Kyiv before the war began, intelligence has reportedly revealed.

In February, before Russian troops crossed the border with Ukraine, Moscow’s power brokers assumed it would be a short and easy war, according to intelligence provided to the Washington Post.

Igor Kovalenko, a senior FSB official who had run spies in Ukraine, was among them. According to the intercepts by Ukrainian intelligence and their Western counterparts, Kovalenko had his eye on an apartment in Kyiv, asking an FSB subordinate for the contact information for the informant who lived there.

Ukrainian intelligence said the informant admitted he received instructions to leave the city in the days leading up to the start of the war — and to leave his keys behind so the Russians could use his apartment overlooking the Dnieper River.

Indeed, the Russians were so certain they’d occupy Kyiv that they gave similar instructions to informants and moles throughout the Ukrainian capital, preparing a network of safe houses for operatives and accommodations for officers.”

Dispite what Russia has claimed I don’t think you will see that or atacms till the offensive begins
Long range targets identified and targeted, command, logistics, troop concentrations along with swarms of drones, Excalibur and himars.

Wouldn’t be surprised if cluster munitions are stocked and ready
