He can’t. The Supreme Court unanimously ruled that governors have no power to ignore extradition requests and the federal courts can compel them to comply with extradition if they fail to do what the Constitution demands.

Why don’t people know this stuff? It’s not like it’s a hidden secret.

Why? Same reason people thought that the VicePresident could set aside an election. No understanding of how our govt works under the Constitution.
