Sen. Bernie Sanders has blamed a Trump-era banking law for the Silicon Valley Bank's failure.
"Let's be clear. The failure of Silicon Valley Bank is a direct result of an absurd 2018 bank deregulation bill signed by Donald Trump that I strongly opposed," Sanders wrote in a statement on Sunday.
Sanders was referring to the Economic Growth, Regulatory Relief, and Consumer Protection Act, which former President Donald Trump signed into law in May 2018.

Of one the traits of propaganda is scapegoating. It is the practice of singling out a person or group for unmerited blame and consequent negative treatment. It is hostile tactic used to smear an entire group of individuals according to the unethical or immoral conduct of a small number of individuals belonging to that group. Scapegoating relates to guilt by association and stereotyping. The actions of the Southern Poverty Law Center comes to mind when they use this technique to extort money from their political targets.
