Given the fact that the government refused to supply the videos to Chansley’s lawyers, it would appear that not only should he be released pending a new trial but Chansley has a good case to sue the Department of Justice for prosecution misconduct and a violation of his civil rights guaranteed by the 14th Amendment.
Several of the J6’s probably have a basis for launching lawsuits against the feds. It sucks that particular politicians cannot be held accountable.
I agree. I hope he and others do just that.
Agree.
I have been wondering if what they did leading him around, opening doors, etc. was actually entrapment.
If Trump should win a 2nd term or whenever a MAGA-like candidate wins ever again, there needs to be a class action lawsuit on behalf of all the Jan 6 political prisoners against the DOJ.
Then the DOJ can be ordered to admit its full guilt and offer one of the most generous payouts in American history to these people who have suffered unjustly at the hands of the federal government and the corrupt DC Swamp.
That will be the best part. Even better would be if anybody at the DOJ balks at the express presidential order to admit full guilt and pay out. Then just fire them on the spot. Hopefully a whole bunch of them refuse to sign off and get fired immediately as a result.
