Florida Governor Ron DeSantis is planning his first visit to Iowa next week, according to The Associated Press.
This visit comes before an expected 2024 presidential campaign announcement later this year.

Running against Trump is political SUICIDE for DeSantis, but then again, I don’t know if he’s able to figure it out.
There can only be two outcomes if it’s a contested Primary:
1. DeSantis loses the Primary to Trump and will NEVER (in the future) get Trump’s hard-core base of 10 to 20 Million Trump-only voters.
2. DeSantis wins the Primary, but that ANGERS those same 10 to 20 Million Trump-only voters, so he gets clobbered in the General Election, as they sit out the election.
Best plan for him is to sit out 2024 and plan to run in 2028, where he might even get Trump’s support.
“But he’s not running!” say the DeSimps.
Why? Trump's a loser. I don't want to support a loser. I don't want to lose in 2024.

Trump is a billionaire, lives in two gold-plated residences, had a popular TV show, won the Presidency twice, has been a celebrity most of his adult life.
When did he become a loser?

He needs to focus on building his presidential library in Florida.
