Don’t forget, she was no slouch on the drums, even Buddy Rich complemented her playing.

"For All We Know" happened to play on the 70s channel this morning on my way to work (Sirius/XM).
I agree that was their best.
I was about 8 or 9 years old when The Carpenters were at their peak in the early 1970s. I used to think the voice I heard on the radio (Karen Carpenter) was actually that of Laurie Partridge from the TV show.
So even to this day, hearing a Carpenters song brings up an image of Susan Dey in my brain.

I was in my 50s when I discovered that Leon Russell wrote ‘Superstar.’ I would have never guessed it.

Leon was pretty amazing, guy would literally come into a session, cold, not even knowing what they were performing, and nail his keyboard part, and leave.

Great guitar solo in that... played by their own guitarist Anthony F. Peluso.

Goodbye to Love
If that isn’t the best surprise guitar solo from a group not know for it, I don’t know what is.

Amazing buttery voice.
“Goodbye to Love.”
Session guitarist killed it on that, too.
