“”There is a powerful historical precedent for Tulsi Gabbard’s transition from a Bernie Sanders Democrat to being one of the fiercest critics of Joe Biden’s warmongering abroad and attacks on freedom at home.
Between the 1930’s and the 1960’s, New Deal Democrat Ronald Reagan””

That is so utterly ridiculous.

How thick, or how liberal does a person have to be to think that being a democrat in the 1930s and 1940s and voting along with the state of Texas and then voting and campaigning for the republican president after 1948 is the same as becoming and being a democrat after the 1960s?

Having been a democrat under FDR and Truman and then switching to Eisenhower has no resemblance to people becoming democrats under Obama and Clinton, Jimmy Carter, Biden, Bernie Sanders, Pelosi, etc.

Look at the party politics, the party platforms, the culture wars, and abortion wars, gay marriage, feminism, anti-military, etc. how does that compare to what the democrats were in the 1930s and 1940s when Texas was still voting for them?

Back then a Southern Democrat was much more conservative than a Northeastern Republican.

Oh, I agree.

However, I still allow for redemption. People can and do change.
