I remember the game itself with its thrilling sudden-death ending, often called “The Greatest Game Ever”. In subsequent decades it was commonly said that this game captured America’s attention and greatly boosted fan interest in the NFL.
Haven’t watched a Super Bowl half-time show since the infamous “wardrobe malfunction” where Justin Beiber exposed Janet Jackson’s boob.
I like it!!!!
Unitas hand off to Alan Ameche behind right guard for game ending touchdown.
Yep!
Halftimes before the age of wardrobe malfunctions
Holy crap! Half time shows used to have heterosexual white people in them?

Watch the film of Unitas after Ameche scores - he puts his head down and walks off the field - no dancing no anything.

Alan Ameche bolting through the mass of humanity into the end zone...and I remember the head ref, the great Pottsille Maroons all purpose back Charlie Berry, unnecessarily inserting himself into the game...as far as I know Berry is the only guy to ump in the World Series, and ref in an NFL championship game...
