Former President Donald Trump unveiled his new plan to stop "out-of-control crime and keep all Americans safe" in a video released on Monday. In the video, the 2024 presidential candidate outlined how he "reduced violent crime and stood strongly with America’s law enforcement."
"On Joe Biden’s watch, violent crime has skyrocketed and communities have become less safe as he defunded, defamed, and dismantled police forces," Trump said. "Joe Biden and the ‘Defund the Police’ Democrats have turned our once great cities into cesspools of bloodshed and crime."
Trump outlined the steps he will take to make the United States a safer country.
A press release stated that "Trump will sign a record investment in hiring, retention, and training for police officers. The bill will increase vital liability protections for America’s law enforcement officers."
"Police forces have been gutted by Democrats," Trump said. "The Democrats want to take protections away from our police. We want them to do their jobs and we want them to do their jobs right," Trump said.
Secondly, Trump will require local law enforcement agencies receiving Department of Justice grants to "return to proven policing measures such as stop-and-frisk, strictly enforcing existing gun laws, cracking down on the open use of illegal drugs, and cooperating with ICE to arrest and deport criminal aliens."
Third, Trump said he will "take on the radical Marxist prosecutors who have abolished cash bail and refuse to charge criminals. President Trump will direct the DOJ to open civil rights investigations into radical leftist prosecutor’s officers, such as those in Chicago, Los Angeles, and San Francisco to determine whether they have illegally engaged in race-based law enforcement."

An alternative would be to have a few dozen special forces guys practice close quarter combat techniques on the little bastards. Broken arms and legs sends a message.
“But that’s not who we are”
Why didn’t he do this when he was president and what makes him think he’ll get it done this time?
Come on, it's not like he was Commander in Chief and head of the Executive Branch of the most powerful government on earth or anything back then.
Why the confrontation? I’m was not being critical. I was stating what I perceive as part of the problem. Sorry if I somehow offended you.
Just Us vs Justice.
What should happen can’t because we are allegedly a polite society and prosecutors and judges and their extended family members are people too..
I’m not offended, or being “confrontational”, at all!
Honestly curious who your preferred candidate is, since we know it’s NOT “Donnie”….who can fix the Soro$ DAs/Judges?
I guess you don’t have an answer.
The Soros DAs where in place when Donnie was CIC. They added to the list in 2020. The list of Donnie’s bad choices is long.
Both Trump and critics need to ask themselves:
Is big central government the best way to fight local street crime?
Trump stopped all the thuggery and mayhem by tweeting "LAW AND ORDER!1!" over and over again.
Oh, okay, Einstein….I mean, Edison.
Who’s your guy/gal that can quickly clean up the Soro$ installed peeps?
2017-18 when we had everything was the big lost opportunity. We should learn from that, regardless of who is the next R President.
I don’t know who they are since only Donnie and Nikki have thrown their hats in the ring. I do know that Donnie as a lame duck is not the person to correct so many of the country’s ills.
No way no how should local police departments be "federalized." That is a dangerous slippery slope that would not end well.
If Trump wants to tweak their federal funding, it should be based on an performance awards manner, where better performing departments receive more funding, but not enough to starve off the lower performing ones completely, but leave the tactics to the local authorities. THAT would lead to the lower ones performing better, for survival, as well as innovation and across the board.
Ah….a NeverTrumper.
And, you have no answer as to who YOUR alternative choice, to “fix” things, would be.
Your opinion is as credible as McYurtles.
No sale.
Wow Jane, you are just like the commies and libs on other platforms. Your way or the highway. I never said I was a never Trumper. I contributed and voted for him twice. I do think I’d like to hear from others. Closing your ears to what others may say makes you very just like the libs. Don’t be a lib.
Sure, Donnie, er, Ed.
Nice projection you’ve got, there. 🙄
That “I voted for him, twice” line is worn out, btw.
Sounds like a good plan...
Ouch Jane, stop you’re hurting me and solidifying the belief that FR is dying because people are unable to voice an opposing view without being attacked by only Trumpers. Go easy, post your view but be willing to listen to what others have to say without taking it personal.
Not taking anything personal, Ed.
Sounds like you don’t want to say who you think *can* ‘fix things’.
Have a good night!
