The Biden administration is rejecting a request for federal disaster assistance from Ohio Gov. Mike DeWine in the aftermath of the train derailment and ecological disaster that has devastated the area around East Palestine, Ohio.
The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) told Ohio’s state government that it was not eligible for disaster assistance, a spokesperson for DeWine told Fox News Digital on Thursday. The Dewine spokeseman explained that FEMA believed the incident qualified as a traditional disaster, such as a tornado or hurricane, for which it usually provides assistance. “The DeWine Administration has been in daily contact with FEMA to discuss the need for federal support, however FEMA continues to tell Governor DeWine that Ohio is not eligible for assistance at this time,” DeWine’s office said in an earlier statement. “Governor DeWine will continue working with FEMA to determine what assistance can be provided.”
FEMA merely said its team is in constant communication with DeWine’s office, but did not remark on the disaster relief.

What sorts of things happened in (D) counties which FEMA did then fund? It might be an interesting comparison.
Imagine reaction if Trump rejected the same requests for same train accident in Chicago or Atlanta.
Imagine the airtime dem politicians would have.
Imagine the libtard media attacking on behalf of their liberal politician comrades.
Imagine the liberal ecofreaks being given airtime to attack and insult Trump.
Because roles are reversed, crickets. Its like it never happened, and if it did, itcant be that bad, no ones reporting and the government declined the request...so its a big nothingnburger. Go Brandon!
More interesting comparison, since Buttigeig says there are 1000 of these derailments a year... how many in the past have resulted in FEMA aid?
East Palestine, Ohio -------------------- 98.2% White 0.2% Black
It’s the American Chernobyl. The only difference is that our Federal gubment is giving the poor people there the middle finger for not being in the right club.
Meanwhile, the plume is going down the Ohio River, potentially affecting West Virginia, Kentucky, Indiana and Illinois.
FJB.
Do you have the crime stats for that area?

Pipelines don’t derail.....
Violent crime rate in 2019 -------------------------- East Palestine: 112.7 U.S. Average: 205.8
Typical low class obama stunt.
Sounds like this has the potential to make another conspiracy theory.
Unbelievable.
In 2005, Graniteville, SC had a similar train derailment. FEMA also denied aid. This was under Pres. GW Bush in a red county. Apparently, train derailments, unless caused by weather, are not qualified. It was not handled well then either.
Norfolk Southern Railroad was involved in both disasters.
