On January 30, 2023, the @Belyshum Telegram channel shared a promotional video encouraging veterans of the U.S. armed forces to join Wagner PMC. The video shows footage of U.S. soldiers in combat and saluting the American flag. Addressing the viewers, the narrator says: "You were a hero to your country, giving your best years in the army... You dreamed of defeating evil [and] to make America great again… But in reality, you served [the] destruction of nations and the death of civilians, all for the will of adventuring families who thought they were earthly gods... You began to realize that this is the side of evil. This is not the America the Founding Fathers dreamed of... It is destroying the whole world, and today, the only country fighting this evil is Russia." The video then shows Russian and Wagner PMC forces. The narrator then adds: "If you're a true patriot of the future great America, join the ranks of the warriors of Russia. Help defeat evil, or it will be too late for everyone." The video concludes with footage simulating a nuclear bomb going off in a city.

In Ukraine it is the forces of Putin’s Russia trying to destroy Ukraine.

The deal the West had with Russia was that Ukraine would remain a permanent neutral state. That was the deal we made. We broke that deal by surrounding the region with our military and causing a color revolution with the intent of creating a pro-Western government that would apply for NATO membership.

The west never promised anything of that sort.
Russia, however, did sign in 1994 the Budapest agreement promising to respect Ukraine’s borders.
Russia broke that in 2014.
After years of threats vs both the democratic government of Ukraine, as well as threats to dismember Ukraine, it would be stupid to assume the benevolence of Russia.
Neutrality would be idiotic under such circumstances. It would be surrender to Russian domination, as in the case of Belorussia.
Russia as a polity has fundamentally malicious intentions against all its neighbors. It’s propaganda has been consistent in that its claimed to have been offended by x, or y or z, and such an offense justifies its malice.
The same type of arguments were used on a regular basis by the Soviet Union and Nazi Germany.
They are all wrong in this sh1tshow.

The idea that Putin just showed up out of the blue with no provocation is absurd.
The difficulty in 2014 was that Ukraine had elected a pro-western government (actually a series of them) that wanted to apply for membership to the EU, not Nato.
That was Russia’s objection at the time. Nato wasn’t an issue. Russia wanted to hold Ukraine in its own economic-political sphere. And then the situation devolved, let us say. Russia was behind most of it, using both its own forces and proxies.
This war is round 2 of that war. Nato membership will be necessary for Ukraine from now on, because Russian aggression is guaranteed to proceed to round 3, no matter the terms of the eventual ceasfire nor which Russian government is in charge at that time.
The United States is being taken down in a Color Revolution of Woke Cultural Marxism.
Americans will reverse its takedown without the cheap shot lectures from a cultural regime that has a dictator as its leader.
Putin has ruled Russia since 2000. He is the head of a Russian Mafia family that retains power by operating outside the law. Russians have no freedom under this fake.

According to some researchers, Russia's Eastern Orthodox religion was begun in the heart of Ukraine. If true, then this might be part of Putin's reason for invasion.
Another reason is that he doesn't want NATO missiles right on Russia's doorstep. Given that Zelensky is a Western puppet that is likely to happen and might kick off WWIII.

The United States is being taken down by the corruption of its elites due to a process of cultural change. This is not a matter of conspiracies, even if there are conspirators, and even if the conspirators think their machinations are effectual.
This is not a question of some cabal implementing a strategy. This is a war of tribes or castes. Or a war of religions. Of millions against millions.
Probably not. If your neighbor knows about them he or she would doubtless try to rationalize their defense. I suspect the fat cats are non-Democrat, perhaps Trump and Mike Lindell.

Russia and the Ukraine have been joined at the hip since the Kievan Rus of the 9th century.

And the Ukrainians have often been very unhappy about that.
The Romantic revolution made a considerable change in people’s attitudes. One can say that modern nationalism was born in 1789. And, slowly, people began to be convinced that self-determination, along the lines of culture and language, was the solution to their problems.
And when the empires collapsed in the 20th century that was the route all the subject peoples took. And some of the Imperial people’s too, like the Russians and Turks.
Both the Russians and the Ukrainians are driven by ideas with the same roots, but, naturally, opposite conclusions.
