Onlookers swarmed social media with videos of the Chinese spy balloon being “taken out” over the waters in South Carolina Saturday.

Apparently Bidens/govt has known about these balloons for more than a year. This crap has been going on for over a year.
9X has a cooled focal plane IR sensor, from which it derives video. IOW the sensor is an IR video camera on gimbals.
In the video you see the limited burn time of this relatively short range missile, and hear the sonic boom it generates immediately after launch.
I believe the warhead did not detonate, or perhaps the missile was purposely configured with a mass simulator in place of the warhead, to make the bring down as safe as possible. If the missile went through the balloon itself there may not have been a contact destruct generated in any case.
This is just so much of the pedojoe admin and military giving the American people the finger 🖕. This should have been taken care of over Alaska or Montana.
Should have been shot down as soon as it entered US airspace over the Aleutians. Not as it was leaving US airspace 5,000 miles later.

Not so. We learned that the balloon could gather data and transmit it to the Chinese and that Pedo Joe would do nothing until it had served its purpose.
I doubt a fraction of 1% of the posters here have ever seen an A-A missile engagement except the flame drenched hollywood versions.
So it might not matter where it was brought down. We may just recover some junk.

A couple of rounds from the M61A2 20-millimeter cannon would have done the job just as well at a lot cheaper cost!
How come you see the squiggly contrail of the missile ends fat short of where the balloon is?
The small contrail ends far short of where the balloon is. Why is that? Why don’t we see the missile contrail continue on to actually hitting the balloon?
